Yellowstone tv show (2 Viewers)

Anyone started watching the new show 1923 yet? The first 2 episodes were pretty good so far.

I'm watching it. I do like it. I would like to set the Native American girls free from that torture school, put chains around the door handles, and set it on fire w/ the clergy inside though...

I started watching a couple weeks ago and am now caught up to the end of Season 3. The acting, cinematography, and characters are all superb.

I have minor quibbles with the writing. Multiple times per episode, characters (usually Beth) give a long, sustained, amazingly articulate response that sounds like it came right out of a Steinbeck novel or something. It makes me roll my eyes and think, "This is not how actual people talk in real life."

I'm finishing season 4 this week.

I'm starting to find Beth annoying. I can't tell how much of it is the character herself, the writing, or the way the actress is [over]-playing the character. Probably a little of all three...

As much as I like the show, the dialogue is (at times) way over-the-top. Beth is probably the most glaring example. Every sentence out of her mouth is the most devastating & poetically brilliant insult you can possibly imagine. The first couple seasons it was amusing. Now it just makes me roll my eyes.

So, apparently they haven’t started filming the second half of season 5 yet.

2nd half??? They only have two episodes left until their tenth of the season. If they are doing more than 10, then it seems they are going for a series finale.

This is starting to get over the top. There is no special election for governor if he resigns. The Lt governor simply takes over. He then appoints his new replacement.

The big points of the last couple seasons have zero bearing in reality

Everything about Jamie's accusation is BS because it based off of John's betrayal of his constituents. He did EXACTLY what he told his voters he would do and he also warned them all that if they wanted progress then they shouldn't vote for him

Exactly. Jamie is amazingly easy to be lead around by his manhood

But I have to admit I am surprised Beth didn't know about the train station before since, you know, she was there to get the pic of Jamie.

I describe it as Dallas meets Breaking bad.

We tried three episodes. Darkness and violence are cool if punctuated with wit and humor. Do the latter emerge later?
