N/S YIKES!!! Another Watson Lawsuit! (2 Viewers)

Just start Winston.

If Cleveland didn’t write a contract that allows them outs for conduct detrimental, then they deserve him. At least on the bench fans feel they can root for their team guilt free.

This dude could have gone to any club in Houston, or just looked to the internet, and could have found a consenting partner for whatever kinky stuff he was into.

But he’d probably “been there, done that,” and was instead getting off on seeing how much he could get away with from unsuspecting women. It’s just like Sharper.

He's a Predator.

They do have an out if this becomes true. They’ll be able to rid themselves financially of him.

At least that’s what it sounds like

“This new case raises plenty of issues, from the standpoint of the league and the Browns. It’s possible that Watson could be subject to further scrutiny under the Personal Conduct Policy. It’s also possible that a suspension — if one is imposed — could give the Browns a path toward voiding his remaining salary guarantees and ending the relationship
That doesn't sound like a happy ending to me

I feel like the team knew about all of these cases before they traded for Watson. Perhaps they asked one of the accusers to hold back, and keep one in the chamber in case the deal went south and they needed to pull the ejection seat.

NFL owners have never been shy about being seedy in the shadows, so stranger things.

Robert Kraft is one owner that reportedly comes to mind considering what he was accused of doing and actually arrested for in a Florida "massage parlor" via a police sting operation on the morning of the day of the 2018 AFCCG between Patriots and Chiefs?

Jerry Jones does too, in light of his past alcoholism and how when he gets a little too loaded, he puts his massive, Texas-sized foot and ego in his mouth and proclaims some very stupid, massively idiotic sheet like during the 1994 NFL Spring Meetings and how his uncontrollable anger, rage at the lack of credit and recognition over building the early 90's Cowboys SB-winning team supposedly lead to Jimmy Johnson and Jones having a confrontation at a hotel bar over Jones' SI comments and that was essentially the last straw for Jimmy. Then he was caught on an undercover tape saying he hated and despised Bill Parcells and never wanted him as his HC, but he knew he was best possible HC option to rebuild Cowboys into a winner so he could more easily convince the city of Arlington to eventually build "Jerry World" i.e. AT&T Stadium, so he bitterly went along with it. I actually believe in this instance, although he was in a ridiculous, drunken stupor, Jerry Jones was being 100% honest with his feelings.

Thank god the Browns did the most Browns thing ever and saved the Saints from themselves. I can't imagine what our fanbase would be dealing with all of this off the field drama, bad play, and absurd contract. I remember people griping about how much Drew was making in the middle of the greatest statistical run in NFL history. So if people were going at Drew despite the fact that he was the greatest passer of a football we have ever seen, I can't even imagine what it be like with Deshaun Watson and a much larger contract that is guaranteed.

That contract is truly mind boggling. Several QB have signed contracts since yet Watson still has the most guaranteed money by a comfortable margin. It might be the single worst contract in sports history and that's saying a lot because we've seen some bad ones. One of my favorites is when the Mets deferred Bobby Bonilla's salary and they are still paying him a million bucks every July. Bonilla hasn't played since 2001. The Mets will continue to pay him until 2035. Bobby Bo will be 72 when the Mets are finally off the hook lol.

I hope Winston gets his shot. He certainly deserves one somewhere
To be fair, it's his third shot.

A strong run game and defence should hopefully set him up to do well, when he's inevitably given the reins at some point this year, or next if they delay suspension due to legal process.

But no excuses, please, if he doesn't. I've heard too many to count.

The Cleveland fan base loathes DeShaun Watson. They hate that the Browns gave him a guaranteed contract, they hate that they gave to him especially and they hate his play, or lack thereof, on the field.

He was booed like crazy this past Sunday. Yes, his play was abysmal but couple his past with his play, the boo's were that much louder. I watched the game and you can see the discord and lack of respect to Watson. Amari Cooper was visibly upset during the whole game. No doubt the fan base is clamoring for Joe Flacco to come back. A fan base can forgive three interceptions. They cannot forgive sexual assault.

No doubt the legal team for the Browns have been up all night trying to find a way out of the contract and release Watson and the general manager and staff have been scouring the streets for a QB. They have to.

This is bigger than just one team. The NFL does not want to be embarrassed and they have a public relations team to fix these things. Of course, you ask the former Washington Commanders VP of content, the NFL doesn't care as long as money is coming in. I would think that DeShaun Watson is about to be this decade's Ray Rice.

Good point about fans pining for Flacco.

He did a real Ryan Fitzpatrick impersonation (hot streak version) for a while there, they're inevitably going to compare other QB performances to that run of games.

Of course, people lose sight of the other side of streaky performers and the run of boneheaded play that tends to go with it.

if ur the browns, at what point do you pay an escort to pose as a masseuse and recreate the whole thing. I 100% know what he did was wrong, but as far as on field performance, they were doing something right.

Is this the worst deal/trade/contract in all sports?

The Browns are probably the only team the NFL doesn’t want in the playoffs/Super Bowl.

Shame on Cleveland if there isn't some sort of 'morality clause' written into that contract.
They had to know that even millions of dollars isn't going to distract a degenerate mind. It may even enhance it.

Imagine the bad PR for the NFL if he is every photographed hoisting a Lombardi trophy on the podium. :covri:
