You want to re-sign Jameis? OK here’s your first round pick. (24 Viewers)

The receiver class is really deep and the Saints don’t draft receivers in the first since Robert Meachem. Get a receiver in the second like CGM
Cooks was the last but I get what you are saying. We've neglected that spot for a long time and I believe that we gotta pick up one early in this draft.

CGM is the exception, not the rule. And it was Payton that rarely drafted WRs in the first round. This team needs actual blue chip talent at the position (or as close as possible to one.), not a QB or HC that makes them look better than they actually are. This is the best draft to do it in.

The WR class is only 1.5 rounds deep at most.
What?! Starters will be drafted in the third from this group. There were nine players under 4.4 in the 40 and Jameson Williams didn’t even participate. This kid out of Boise state is going to be a starter (can’t remember his name right now). Kyle Phillips is going to be a good role player and potential starter and he’s going in the 4-6th. It’s a loaded class.

Bengals effect. They are gonna have a lot WR going high.

And 3rd-7th round WR is a nonexistent hit rate

In Sean Payton’s era, this would 100% be the pick. Who knows what Allen is gonna wanna do

TBH they can find the next Aman-Ra St. Brown and it'll be better than what we put on the field last year.
He and Goff started cooking at the end of the season. I think he can play!

Deebo Samuel might be the best WR in football and he was a second rounder. Michael Thomas was no first rounder. You can do it if you play your cards right.
Deebo and CGM are outliers. They're the exception that proves the rule. Even in a draft this deep at WR, the good ones will most likely be off the board by round 3.

Receiver, he would not have got hurt if he had someone to throw to. We've neglected that position too long
Yes recievers help a average line. Also getting a between the tackles RB will help. Really good offensive lineman become extremely average when an offense lacks weapons.

I trust Jeff Ireland and staff to draft the BPA in the early rounds….I never go into a draft insistent on drafting a ”position” early….that‘s what losing/failed franchises do….if the right WR is there in the 1st or 2nd rounds I’m all for it….otherwise BPA at any number of positions…..Oh, and good WR’s are found in the later rounds every year….Cooper Kupp was a 3rd rounder, I can list multiple examples of this but won‘t…..

WR is deep this year, position needs attention but doesn’t have to be in the 1st
What bothers me when people act like we just need to take a WR in the 1st round...I don't know if they can name the WR they want. They treat it more of a measure of quantity than quality.

Like I can name Calvin Austin III and say if we take him, what if we were drafting a player like Tyreek Hill without the scumbag aspect? And he might be available in the 3rd round? But should absolutely be the the high 2nd round conversation.

And he can do this to a five yard cushion:

Main reason he could slip so far is he's 5'7" 170. Ran a 4.32 at the combine with a ridiculous 1.44 10 yard split. CBs are going to have a difficult time jamming him up at the line.

Case in point
