You want to re-sign Jameis? OK here’s your first round pick. (30 Viewers)

I agree. You have to give Jameis time to make good decisions. We can grab wr in second. I used to think wr was the missing ingredient. Now we need a few pieces on O. I would support Rainman. I bet he is an excellent driver.

What bothers me when people act like we just need to take a WR in the 1st round...I don't know if they can name the WR they want. They treat it more of a measure of quantity than quality.

Like I can name Calvin Austin III and say if we take him, what if we were drafting a player like Tyreek Hill without the scumbag aspect? And he might be available in the 3rd round? But should absolutely be the the high 2nd round conversation.

And he can do this to a five yard cushion:

Main reason he could slip so far is he's 5'7" 170. Ran a 4.32 at the combine with a ridiculous 1.44 10 yard split. CBs are going to have a difficult time jamming him up at the line.

Case in point

You already have this on the team with Deontay Harty. WRs like that are cool but when you throw deep make sure to overthrow them because if the ball is short, its getting picked 10 out of 10 times.

And the Chiefs have Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman. There’s no rule saying you can only have one short speedster.

And frankly, Austin is much quicker and a superior route runner on film than Harty

Please stoppppppppppppppppppp, with these OL early round draft picks and we are good at that position. 37 sacks allowed 15th least in the league without Armstead and Peat. Sign Collins, he is cheaper and your right tackle, the plan was always to move Ram over to LT. Your OL Ram Peat McCoy Hurst Collins, that line is good for 25 sacks min and they would play 17 games minus Peat for his usual 4 to 6 game strange injury.

Jameis might not even be ready Day 1. But if you want him as your starter then you’re going to need to protect him. You asked for it!

With 18th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft the New Orleans Saints select Bernard Raimann Tackle out of Central Michigan. This guy is a Day 1 starter at left tackle. We can move on from Armstead and not miss a beat. Use the extra cap space to sign other players.

Bernard Raimann is Austrian and he is already 25yo, but other than confirming his love of football. He is a great selection.

Double dip at WR in the first and second rounds. Garrett Wilson, if available and Christian Watson. We hope Thomas comes back healthy, but if he doesn't, the WR room is kind of bare.
He'll be healthy...it's a matter of if/how long will it take to get back into form

TA and Mc are the only non-1st rounders on the line, whereas we have not invested a 1st on a WR since Cooks. It's time to show the WR/TE group some luv.

Can't go wrong with picking in the trenches.

Grab a tackle, spend a 2nd on a speedy WR and sign OBJ or Landry as insurance, and your WR room is just as talented.

I like the idea of a commanding LT….just hope that if we draft one they don’t end up getting moved to G because of their limitations….such as Peat and Dumbrowski.

If we can pick up a decent WR2 in FA it would make the choice a bit easier. What’s depth like for tackles in this draft? Is there a starter calibre player likely to be on the board in rd2

I prefer Trevor Penning. Every story I’ve read about him is he’s a mauler and has the passion of Kyle Turley. He loves to destroy defenders. If not Penning I like Faalele, dude is huge and can move and block. Put Faalele at RT and move Ram to LT.
