Surprised this has not been posted yet.

18 year old young lady at home alone with her infant. Her husband passed away Christmas day from his fight with cancer. That night the intruder showed up at her house claiming to be a neighbor but she did not let him in. Then he showed up again with a friend on New Years Eve and attempted to break into the house. He will never break into another house...

Then, she grabbed her son and "walked over and got the 12-gauge, went in the bedroom and got the pistol and put the bottle in his mouth and then I called 911,"

When he finally managed to open the door, she put some lead into his azz.

Plus rep for her.

U.S. News - 911 to teen mom who killed intruder: 'Protect your baby'

with the pain of losing her spouse and anxiety of now being a single mom to an infant, i'm surprised she didn't club him, tie him to a chair and go all reservoir dogs on him

Kudos for the mama. One less inmate our tax dollars have to pay for. BTW what are Louisiana laws towards intruders?

Wow. My niece lives in Blanchard. Completely justified, IMO, but I give her kudos for thinking clearly enough to be on the phone with a dispatcher up to the shooting.

A friend of mine once shot an intruder inside her home, but he managed to stumble outside the home before falling to the ground. He died in her front yard. Even though the evidence strongly suggested that he was several feet within the home when shot, she was still convicted of manslaughter because he wasn't in the house when police arrived. :(

What in Hades is going on in Blanchard, Oklahoma?

Search warrants reveal new details in missing Blanchard mom case | NewsOK.com

The husband of a missing Blanchard woman said he wasn't completely honest with police when he reported the pregnant mother of four missing in the early hours of Dec. 10.

Court documents reveal that Justin Adams, 25, left out several details regarding his wife's disappearance, including his assertion that he and his wife were “swingers” and that the pregnant mother of four was a working prostitute.

Alleged accomplice in Blanchard home invasion faces murder charge | NewsOK.com

[The accomplice, Dustin] Stewart told investigators [that the dead one, Justin] Martin was addicted to prescription medication and had plans to burglarize the residence. Martin knew Kenneth McKinley had recently died of cancer and suspected there were narcotics in the house, Stewart said.

Sarah McKinley said Martin knocked on her front door Dec. 29, the day she buried her husband. She said he acted strangely and left after seeing she had company. She said she did not know him. Sarah McKinley told the dispatcher on Saturday: “This guy is up to no good. My husband just passed away. I'm here by myself with my infant baby. Can I please get an inspector out here immediately?”

A high school dropout who learned to ride and break horses at age 8, she started living with Kenneth McKinley about three years ago, she said. The relationship turned romantic; a marriage license was issued in November. Asked about the 40-year age difference, McKinley said: “I'm not ashamed I married him. I still love him with everything I am.” The relationship created friction between her and her mother, Debbie Murray. When Justin was born that all changed, Murray said Wednesday. McKinley told her mother she suspected someone was getting into the home, moving things around, in recent weeks. They aren't in the habit of locking doors in Blanchard, Murray said.

Not to mention, why are all the younger men in these stories (including the baby) named Justin or Dustin?

So why does the accomplice face murder charges? Must be missing something.
