Zack Baun signed with the Eagles, 1-year/3.5M (1 Viewer)

Interesting how Philly is moving on from some of it's older players and looking for youth with potential. What a novel concept.

I'll wait to see how much they paid for a guy with two sacks last year and little to no production other than on special teams for 3 years before I congratulate them. Maybe they got a good deal, I wanted Baun back at a decent price, but there is a limit regarding how much he is worth. He was certainly a nice surprise at the end of last year, but there is no telling if he's going to break out. And he just isn't a scheme fit in New Orleans. If you want cap discipline. This is what cap discipline looks like.

They have a lot of success with them too. Baun can replicate Haasan Reddick’s role for much cheaper. He’ll produce in their scheme as a natural standup rusher. It’s a shame we couldn’t commit to his skillset fulltime in 4 years because of the 4-3 edge size bias.
We have no clue. We have released good players and get little in the draft. Except for Davenport and Turner. Lol

Very fair reply. I'm just worn out with our cap "strategy". It forces us to hang on to old players. Think of New England's championship years, it was the exact opposite. They continuously moved on from older players (not named Brady) and replaced them with the next generation.

Amazingly smart move by Baun. Going to a team known to utilize similar players to himself. Only issue is they’re so deep idk about how he’s getting playing time.
There’s a better version of Baun on the market in Josh Uche. We tried to trade for him at the deadline.

Uche is inconsistent however and is boom/bust

DA really screwed the pooch with Baun by not using him at his natural position from the day he was drafted.

Watch he goes to Philly and gets 8 sacks as a situational rusher
I’d bet on 10 sacks from him
