I mean the issue was drafting a 3-4 OLB and trying to turn him into a 4-3 LB. He just doesn't fit the scheme. Sure they could have used him more on pure pass rush downs, but he couldn't have played DE for this team if there was any chance the other team would run. Maybe the scheme needs to change to utilize some smaller, quicker, faster edge rushers (and maybe it is), but I'm not sure Baun is the guy you do that for.

Saints will be lucky to have Baun qualify for a 7th round comp pick, which we will offset with an OG. Baun will have a breakout year with Philly on a one year deal and then sign a big free agent contract with somebody else. Philly will wind up with a 4th round comp pick in 2026 after losing him in free agency.
