Al qaeda is happy too! (2 Viewers)

I know one thing - the first time Al-Qaeda or any of these kooks make President Hillary's administration look bad, she's going to make George Bush look like a pacifist.

Hell hath no fury...

Really, I personally have very few close friends who could vote for Hillary. I just can't do it and I have a hard time seeing how she could be elected.

If the Democrats want to undermine their cause, nominate her.

Heh, I said the exact same thing in '98 about GWB. I just couldn't imagine them nominating him and then actually seeing him take over the WH at that time.

It's sad how a number of people let Al-Queda manipulate them.

On the one hand, they're daring Bush to stand and fight so they can kill more Americans without having to cross the Atlantic.

On the other, they're seemingly happy to see a Dem majority and this is perceived as a reason to vote Republican.

Either way, we're doing what they want us to do.

Nicely played, AQ.

No, let's dismiss Al-Qaeda's threats as mere rhetoric, demagoguery and scare tactics being used by an ousted lame duck American political party.

Ignore them and they'll go away!

Consider the source, indeed.

I think you're confusing two different issues here.

So a bunch of Al-Queda thugs claim that it is "reasonable" to vote democratic, and viola! Republicans have a reason to point fingers and claim that a vote for the Democratic Party is to support Al-Queda.

Nobody here on this message board claims that Al-Queada ISN'T a threat.

I think I speak for many when I say that it is patently ridiculous to imply that Democrats will embrace a "pro-terrorist" policy--which is what the premise of the initial post was.

So two different issues here--ignoring Al-Queada threats--real threats, which should be the job of intel officials, and looking at ridiculous, false rhetoric from Al-Queda for what it is.

As if Al-Queda all of a sudden will lay down their arms and embrace the United States if the Democrats gain the White House in 08'

The partisan demegogues simply insult everyone's intelligence.

Just in case "consider the source" meant Littlegreenfootballs or FoxNews:

Al Qaeda is so 2001. This tape is a cry for attention, and an alternative take Republican victory version will come out in the Al Qaeda CD/DVD box set. It's like focusing on Serb nationalists in 1917. The action has moved to Sunnis and Shiites, and the latter's Iranian sponsors. If Al Queda blows up one of our cities, we'll determine the nuclear fingerprint, and turn the earth of the offending country into glass.

If the Bush Administration would have done its job and taken out Al-Qaeda we wouldn't have to worry about the terrorists. They would probably still have control of congress too.

But since the republicans have done such a horrible job they have no one to blame but themselves.

The counter point is the terrorist organizations and the states that sponser them or support their cause in other ways are indeed celebrating the Democrats power sweep.

Iran for instance.

Rumsfeld Resignation Sparks End to Iraq Fighting
by Scott Ott

(2006-11-09) — As news of the resignation of U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld filtered out through hundreds of newspapers, radio and TV stations in Iraq this morning, Sunni and Shiite militias laid down their weapons and poured into the streets to celebrate the “new direction” in U.S. military policy. >>Link!
