I like Ingram, I'm not a big he's the greatest guy, but have zero desire to dump on him after a couple bad TOs. Young man has had a rough couple weeks. Let it go at that. He's had some big games for us.

I sort of agree, but the problem is that once an NFL player gets a reputation for putting the ball on the ground, teams key on that, and fumbles multiply.

Ingram has never been the type of player who could make a would-be tackler pay for going for the ball by breaking away for big yardage. Since he is not that guy, he MUST hold on to the rock.

On top of that, you can practically hang last week's loss on him, and if the Saints had lost today, he would be the goat again this week. 52 other guys are not going to have confidence in a guy like that.

It's an unfortunate part of team sports, but often a player who is trusted is better for a team than a player who is not, even if the player who is not has more talent. That's the dust bin of football history, and there are a lot of great players in it.

HT played extremely well today. Burst, hit the holes with authority and no fumbles.

Hightower's earned a fair share. Ingram should not get a majority of the carries for the rest of this season. Last season was last season, he just can replicate how well he did then.

Had Ingram not played at Alabama, he would have been a fourth - round pick. I am admittedly not an Ingram fan because we gave up so much to draft him-- and I disliked the trade from the moment it was made. But his vision is really poor.

These were earned yards against a great defense. He deserves an opportunity to see if he can build on this performance.

I'm glad that Sean stuck to his guns on keeping Ingram on the bench, and riding the hot running back. It was great to see less sub packages, and more of a featured back.

Yes he is the the SP doghouse. Yes Hightower outplayed him. But I think the reason he stayed on the bench was mental toughness. I think it was a game plan decision.

Payton knew he had to balance in run calls, ineffective or not, in order to have passing lanes open. When the Hawks have beaten us before it was because we showed our hand and they knew the pass was coming. Because he was sticking to his game plan of balancing run calls he needed a RB he could trust not To fumble. He couldn't trust Ingrams mental state and kept Timmy in. With good returns.

I've supported Ingram since day 1, but wow.
I'm not even upset about the fumble, it's his ability to have a huge lane to the left, but run straight into the back of a lineman making a block in the open field. Someone get this man some glasses, he clearly has no depth perception.

Good defense, but this is the 3rd time this year having a 100 yard runner against. Chinks in the armor.
