I'd figured that this day was coming.

I bet the annual option to stream live games for the entire year will be around 300 to 400 dollars.

I think the NFL is trying to get 2.5 billion from Amazon for it. If they want to make that kind of money on their own if they charge $300 a year they would need over 8 million subscribers. According to this article Driect TV was only getting about 2 million subs a year.

DirecTV has paid about $1.5 billion per year for “Sunday Ticket” for the past seven seasons and currently charges about $300 for the package as an add-on. The satellite TV provider also now offers “Sunday Ticket” as a component of its “Choice,” “Ultimate,” and “Premier” pay-TV packages.

DirecTV has lost money on “Sunday Ticket” for many years. At its current $300 price point, DirecTV would need 5 million subscribers to break even. DirecTV has averaged closer to 2 million “Sunday Ticket” subscribers for many years, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Am I missing something? Don’t they already have gamepass? They don’t need to create anything, they just need to unblock the live game restriction.

Game pass only offers live audio to games and replays once they are finished.

If they added LIVE local games to my GamePass subscription I would never watch local TV again or bother with my antenna. The NFL is the only thing keeping me tethered to terrestrial TV. I'd pay more than $5 a month for it too. As a fantasy football fan, having access to a LOT of compressed game content is a value for me. Watching the Saints, though, is the priority.

Surprised they’re getting that when every game can be streamed for free.
