Yes, and he and a few other players got fined for that. And by the way, most of the anti-Rivers posters here are referring to his taunting of the fans near the end of the game, not while he was walking to the locker room. He deliberately went up to the stands and some guy flipped him off after. He really shouldn't be going up to the stands, guys.

Nah, Rivers is just a immature QB who shows poor spotsmanship skills. The fact that he went over to the fans showed that they were getting to him. Most players would tune it out, move to another spot on the sidelines, or if it is bad enough have team security take care of it.

Just like in the NBA, the players should avoid all confrontations with the fans. Who would they have blamed if the fans did something to further escalate the issue when Rivers walked over?

I believe it was LT last year who called out the Patriots and Bill Belicheck for having "no class" for doing the Sean Merriman dance after the Playoff game last year. LT should be the leader of this team and he should pull that punk Rivers aside and tell him to show some class. Rivers acted like a classless punk last week and anytime you are jawing that much with the fans it can only take your head out the game. Volek won the game for them when it counted. Rivers will never win anything.

I expect NE to romp them this week. Let's see-you have a warm weather team going up to NE to face arguably the best NFL team in the past 20+ years who has won 3 Super Bowls in the past 7 years and a Defensive end (Igor Olshansky) who is saying that the Patriots are scared. I expect a 21+ point Patriots blowout.

Sorry, LT is too much of a crybaby and finger pointer to be the leader of anything. His team loses a playoff game they have no business losing and all he can do is complain about Ellis Hobbs and frankly this is what he basically said:

"How dare they disrespect us by doing the dance our roided up linebacker does to disrespect everyone else."

I expect a lot of low, clean, tackles on LT this weekend, if he actually keeps himself in the game.

No matter what you think of him, you've got to respect him for playing with a partially torn ACL... and playing pretty well, considering (no LT, Gates at 50%). If they had just been able to punch it in when they were in the red zone, they would be in the SB.

I see little difference between the 2, and Turner will be sought after by half the league for next year.

Not having LT didn't factor in at all. Rivers, despite the "supposed" injury, which wouldn't have been mentioned at all had they won, had 0 tds, 2 interceptions on 2 bad decision throws, and went 0fer in the red zone.

Tell me this board wouldn't crucify Brees if he had done that. Rivers did not stink it up, but he was, along with play calling, a big factor in why they lost.

Brees has a lot more class than rivers. Every time the dude is on t.v. he's flapping his gums. yada yada yada. He sounds like a moron. I don't even think his teammates like him. How many times have LT get angry with him.
