Manning Center of attention - too bad it's Archie (1 Viewer)

If I were a QB and had just won a NFCCG I'd want my parents there... and yeah I saw the footage of Eli looking for his family. He obviously wanted them to be there.

Archie is a star in his own right. He's not just the dad of Peyton & Eli Manning, he's a member of the media himself.

Good for Archie! Only he knows how much crap the so called NY media threw on his son......UNDESERVEDLY SO!

That was his payback to those idiots who mercilessly attacked his son for no good reason! The Giants sucked overall, and Eli was just a small part in all that, as he was going through the learning process every QB must go through! And when Eli finally arrived, those very same idiots object to a father who was the most happy for his son!

Why are these morons allowed in the locker room anyway??

Parents or reporters?

Are you a dad? Most dads would allow their kids to be in their deserved spotlight. I would be just as proud unseen. Oh, you can throw a punch however, there is a possibility your arm won't return. and I like Archie.

I'm a dad too, and I would let my son decide. Eli has been ripped up and down (undeservedly IMHO) by almost everyone in the 4 years he has played in the NFL. Maybe, he wanted his dad there to take some of the fake love that was coming off his back, so he could actually enjoy the win...

wow.. this guy is like the dude on the Kinko's commercial trying to get color copies of his black and white originals. he REALLY doesn't get it. too bad, too.. his loss.

I agree with you here.

It's between Eli and Archie. There's some sort of assumption that Archie forced himself into the situation. If anything, Archie has been, for years, pretty willing to sit and watch his sons in the shadows.

And considering all the accolades the Peyton has gotten, and all the criticism that Eli has gotten, I'd think Archie is probably pretty relieved to see Eli share in some of the limelight.

Dumb writing.

Exactly, this guy is a moron and he obviously doesn't know Archie very well if he thinks Archie was trying to upstage Eli. Give me a break, are you serious??

IF they didn't want archie in the locker room, he would not be there. I know I would be if I were him.

If my son was playing in that game- would they have let me into that lockeroom???

From the comments at the bottom:
And why do people think Archie was a star. Archie didn't do squat in the NFL. He was mediocre at best and his 173 INTs against 125 TDs proves that. Everyone needs to stop bowing down to The Holy Family of Football. It makes me sick that the media can't find a better story about a more worthy individual.
What are the odds that guy has never seen him play?
In terms of ability, and balance, Archie was probably the best QB of his generation. He could pass like Peyton, but could run as well. With another team he could easily have a hand full of rings by now.

Archie had to run, he had to become a good scrambler, he had no team around him. He also had two other teams and so far Peyton has no family members to compare rings with
