If the compensation includes a 1st pick next year, I'd rather have Denver's than KC'sthe picks will suck if it's Denver

Yeah, I’m not sure if KC would be as appealing to Payton as people think. Any success he has will be put down to Mahomes and comparisons to Reid will be made constantly. That said I still think he’d go there.I don't care how big his ego is, you never want to be the guy that follows THE GUY.
This forum is proof of that.
Theres just no way that the Chiefs become involved in this, that Payton will give the Saints any other option than to send him there or sit on his contract.
Sure the Broncos will have the higher pick, but Payton is not going to let Mahomes get away again.
The more teams interested, and I mean seriously interested............let the bidding war begin. That doesn't sound good for us. He's been on the sidelines for a year, why wait?

Can't argue with that logic.Been more and more smoke that if KC wins the Super Bowl, Andy Reid is retiring.
Payton would LEAP at the chance to finally "get his guy" for his post-Brees run.
So when Payton doesn’t come back to the Saints can we put this narrative to rest or nah?Anything Duncan says the opposite is usually true, so this can only mean Payton is coming back to the Saints.
That Duncan is a clown? No, because it’s true. The man said Payton was definitely going nowhere about a week before he announced he was leaving. So when Payton doesn’t come back to the Saints can we put this narrative to rest or nah?
Yeah, that one turned out to be wrong. Glazer said later that Payton had been going back and forth. That Duncan is a clown? No, because it’s true. The man said Payton was definitely going nowhere about a week before he announced he was leaving.
