That's a hell of a lot of money to bet on a guy coming back from an Achilles injury, I wouldn't have done that.

He's 16-47 (.254) against teams with a winning record in his career.
There goes the Falcons’ cap space in the next few years.
This is extra funny to me because a friend sent me a clip of Jason Kirk doing a Dusty Rhodes impersonation and I’ve been laughing at it all morning
right, we're still a step ahead of ATL by having a totally revamped O to suit our QBNo it doesn't. If Cousins comes back from injury at 36 as good as he was, it makes it a 3 way tie with Atlanta, Tampa, and New Orleans. Kirk Cousins, who is in the same range of QB as Carr and Mayfield, isn't going to suddenly make Atlanta good. It just means Atlanta has reached the level of mediocre that the Saints and Bucs have already achieved.
Yep. Not counting ATL money, but they pretty much signed Derek Carr.Let's put a bit of perspective in this thread.
Cousins is a good QB, but he isn't and hasn't been a bigtime talent in the league.
He has a 78-70-2 record in his career, which is respectable, and he's 1-4 in playoff games, which isn't good.

And he's coming off a major injury as well, plus he'll turn 36 in Training Camp.
The world isn't ending because the Falcons signed him.
i bet that eclipses all Qbs in history, 400M wowI'm referencing Cousins last 2 paydays which eclipses what Carr has made.

You'll never guess who he beat for that one playoff win LOL.
I agree he's not exactly Johnny Unitas but he's performed well against DA-coached defenses, and is inarguably a massive upgrade for ATL.
They have a pretty good O-line and good weapons to put around him. It's an overpay but it's a good move for them.
