Falcons signed Kirk Cousins to 4-year/180M, $100 million guaranteed (1 Viewer)

Nah, they have a lot of young pieces on that offense, having a Vet QB is gonna help. Just have to hope he is not the same Kirk after the injury.
A high percentage of players coming off this injury ends up with one on the opposite leg or some other leg injury

I'm sure Falcons fans are pretty happy about their prospects for 2025, but hey at least we extended our 35 year old lineback and signed a fullback. I smell a championship.

Edit to add 2nd tweet: I bet it's essentially a 3yr 120-130M deal. Crazy that Cousin will earn more in his career than Brady or Brees.

Only because desperate NFL teams will do desperate things. The Vikings finally saw the light and realized he was never going to be the “it” QB.
Now the Falcons are desperate and want instant results at QB instead of drafting one. So he again benefits financially. Good for him.

That's a hell of a lot of money to bet on a guy coming back from an Achilles injury, I wouldn't have done that.

Let's put a bit of perspective in this thread.

Cousins is a good QB, but he isn't and hasn't been a bigtime talent in the league.

He has a 78-70-2 record in his career, which is respectable, and he's 1-4 in playoff games, which isn't good.

He's 16-47 (.254) against teams with a winning record in his career.

And he's coming off a major injury as well, plus he'll turn 36 in Training Camp.

The world isn't ending because the Falcons signed him.
