i regularly wear low cut and no show socks at work because all i own are a sheetload of compression socks that are all low cut or no show. or pirates.

I’m not sure that I actually ‘feel’ old.

Sure, I’m 53 but here I am constantly studying. I’m teaching myself Japanese, AI prompting, and learning more about investing. Every weekend I’m out in the mountains, exploring with my wife. I workout almost every weekday. I still play with Legos. And now I’ve grown my hair down my back to the point me Dad tells me everyday to get a hair cut. He’d probably tell me to get a job but I’ve pretty much got that one nailed..

My 98yo Grandma is my inspiration. She did water aerobics up until she was 93. She still lives on her own (though admittedly not for much longer) and drives her car around town. Mentally, she’ll say she doesn’t feel old. It’s just that her body can’t keep up now.

Yea, I guess I’m getting older but I refuse to be old.
