Weber State had a good pro day. Saints scouts talking to players. McKay Murphy!

http://www.standard.net/Weber-State...aron-johnson-andrew-vollert-mckay-murphy.html

Murphy has spoken with a number of scouts and is confident he’ll receive an invite to a camp. During Pro Day, scouts from the Patriots and the Saints pulled Murphy aside to ask more questions about the Lone Peak product.

Still shocked that Ito Smith was a combine snub. This kid has been on of the most dynamic offensive players in college football over the last 3 years. All this talk about the Georgia guys, Penny, and Ro-Jo, but I honestly think Ito Smith is just as good as all those guys. He is a complete back.

His lat-quicks are borderline elite. He makes cuts at full speed and goes from zero to red in his first 2, 3 steps. He also has a lot of pop and breaks a lot of tackles his size. Smith is really slippery and consistently manages to sneak out w/an extra yard or 2 after contact. And what's more, Smith's a bonafide weapon in the passing game. He also returns kicks and punts. A true modern day NFL RB.

Ito Smith is my favorite RB in the draft. If there's a guy who comps closest to AK, I personally think it's Smith. I would absolutely love to see us draft him on day 3 at some point. Smith w/Mark and AK would be terrifying. And if there was ever any doubt about his athleticism, here goes his workout numbers. If Ito Smith was at the combine, he wouldve became a pre draft star w/those numbers. It's a shame. This dude tested exactly how he plays. Who ever drafts him is going to come up big.

Ade Aruna is already here. I have to imagine we’ve done this local visit thing I’ve just learned about.

Players who attend college or reside in a club’s “metropolitan area” can be given a physical examination without counting against the 30-player limit, unless the club provides transportation for the visit. Also, a player who attends college or whose hometown is in a club’s “metropolitan area” may be timed and tested at the club’s facility, as long as the club does not provide transportation.

Per Walter football/prodays:

Wr/slot Tre Quinn posted a 4.45 40 at 5'11 203.

Ferris state Zach Sieler also had a phenomenal workout for a De/dt at 6-5 290. He had a 4.78 40, 7.1 3-cone, and 30 reps on the Bench. He also doesnt suffer from short arms like his former teammate Justin Zimmer.

One could say a slightly better workout than Jayln Holmes and Da'shawn Hand. On film looks more like a true 5tech DE and with a 7.1 3-cone like Taven Bryan, he can definitely play there too.

Dallas Goedert will not be running the 40 yard dash.

Does anyone have thoughts on Uchenna Nwosu, USC? Also, do you see him more as a LB or DE? here is what i have read about him. He's raw, and can be inconsistent, but also very athletic, can become great. I watched a video on him and was impressed. I really liked all the tipped balls he had.
