A few of my favorite things (or at least one) (1 Viewer)

I just wanted to say that I just got a gift from my daughter in law from Finland and very few things make me go wow anymore but wow. This is a licorice company and while these do have licorice in them, you wouldn't know unless someone told you. The burst of flavor in these is unlike anything I have ever tasted. The first time I met her, she gave me some of their traditional licorice and though they were very good, you def knew you were eating licorice. I see they have a store in Houston. I will be looking them up next time I go there for more of this shirt.

we will be going into Saigan first but its only like $100 and barely an hour to fly to Bangkok. I want to spend 4 days there. We may also go to Cambodia

One thing I meant to mention in re to your post last month but forgot- i agree that flights within Asia are cheap and mostly short flights.. but be careful to pack as light as you possibly can .. when checking luggage, even if you are only a lb or two over the weight limit, they will charge exorbitant fees , like in one instance it cost me $40 or $50 USD extra and i couldnt shed weight or get rid of anyhting from my bag since i was there for six months and needed everything i brought.. that made the extra weight bag fee more than the actual flight, which i believe was only $40 USD- i think it as my Phuket to Chaing Mai flight .. one airline even weighed my carryon bag, and my freaking backpack.. that is how they get you.. again, all i had for SIX months was one checked suitcase, one carryon suitcase and one backpack.. i was actually proud of myself for packing that light for so long, but every time i flew, it all had to come with me…. Fwiw the airlines i flew the most within Asia were Scoot Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Air Asia i believe .. just be careful .

We leave March 20

we will be hitting at least 4 beaches in Vn. I will report. And of course the food….

Looks like youll be in Los Angeles for a few days.. yall have plans there or just chilling ? fwiw my favorite beaches in LA are not far from LAX, in what they call the South Bay- Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach.. only like 40 minutes from Hollywood, but a world away.. also fun to drive up PCH to Malibu and just sightsee, if youve never done that .. and some pretty good Mexican eats to be had all over LA, of course .

Yea we are staying with her aunt in Anaheim for 2 days and will be doing touristy stuff and then I booked a B&B in Santa Monica for the last 2 days so we can do West Hollywood and chill at Venice and SM beqches before the long flight. I ended up booking a car for all of this. First time I used Turo but got a great deal on a hybrid. The planning for LA is loosely put together at best so I may be PMing you for details Here and there.

TiL that ‘do West Hollywood’ probably means something different than it did in 80s/90s
