I saw a graphic during one of the games yesterday that said all of the new (1st time) HC coaches have better records than the veteran re-hires this year.

No surprise there. Football is a young mans game and you have to think these young guys respond better to a young, fresh and firery coach.

I thought he did a phenomenal job in Miami. Kinda has an 'it' factor if you well in terms of leadership. You can easily see it with some guys.

I remember posting this and everyone dismissed her. What she said was pretty damning. Yes people can change but at a certain age, you are stuck in your ways.

It's not just the age but the nature of the position lends it's way to traits that you either have or you don't. DA is a specialist, and he should see that by now.

Talent on this saints team isn't the problem. However, the head coach is. Way too many bad decisions were made. And some things were not done enough.

This! DA has a reputation around the league and it shows with the lack of HC opportunities since. Yet only the Saints were sold on continuity.

I'm onboard with everything except the TB12 part. I'm not interested in the New Orleans Saints becoming "That Team That Tom Brady is on", which if you've ever watched any Bucs game the last few years, is what their entire identity is now.

I don't think Payton's coming back, even though it would be great if he does. If he does, no way Allen would be able to stay as DC. He would be totally embarrassed and would, I think, no longer be effective as a leader. Also, I would lose even the little respect I have left for him if he stayed under those conditions.

For me, the most intriguing part of this is what does Roger and his referee cartel do? Talk about a clash - "Tom Brady rules" vs. "post-bounty/post-Vinovich Saints rules."
