Andy Dalton is PFF’s 2nd highest graded passer this season (3 Viewers)

Or maybe…and I know this sounds crazy…

It’s a team game and everything should be evaluated on its own merit and in proper context?? Including “wins” and “stats?”

Sure... except at the QB position... and if I have to quantify why.... It's not worth the discussion.

Edit: and to be clear, I am not beating up on Dalton... He's just not the guy who gives us the best chance to win at QB... we all know who is.... but he's not getting the opportunity - TH7 .

Because you don’t want to discuss it because it doesn’t fit your narrative. I get it.

No, because it's not a discussion... There is one player on the filed that gets nearly all the credit for wins and and nearly all the blame for losses... He handles the ball on nearly every offensive play, he makes nearly all real-time decisions, he can single handedly win or lose games based on all things he does... He gets paid the most, and (if he's good enough) can instantly turn your team into a championship contender... because with the parody in the NFL most teams at all other positions are mostly equal. It's not a discussion - Its' fact.

And maybe…just maybe…the level of blame and level of credit is often higher than it should be.

I will say that outside of the Cardinals game, I don't think that he's losing us games. I think he's getting next to no help from our game planning and play calling. We are as predictable as I can ever remember and it's hard to succeed under those circumstances.

Dalton has played as good as he could. I don’t understand why anyone wants jameis over dalton. Neither are the long term answer, but dalton is the more efficient qb. I truly believe if this team wasn’t as injured this season they’d be in the playoffs even with DA as head coach.

Dalton has made some excellent throws. He’s not a top level qb but he is solid.

Regardless of playcalling? As in everything created equal (including skill players)?

Dalton and it’s not close.

Like when he got 28 yards against the Bengals with 2 minutes left to play?

He's been the absolute worst in 2 minute drive situations. He straight up lost us the Vikings and Cardinals games in 2 minute drives.

He manages the offense. It should not be a surprise that he has a positive grade.
