Anything Over 6 or 7 wins with Winston at Qb would be considered a win (4 Viewers)

Look at the NFC teams that finished with 6-8 wins last year:

Washington Football Team - 7 wins
Giants - 6
Cowboys - 6

Bears - 8
Vikings - 7

Cardinals - 8
49ers - 6

Talent wise I'd say we have as much or more talent than those teams overall. If the Bears can reach 8 wins with the combination of Trubisky and Foles then I'm sure the Saints can reach 8 wins with Winston and a 17 game season.

For all the focus/fretting surrounding the QB position (rightfully so), watch our QB stats look great at the end of the season and some other unit will look busted up and let us down.

So far, that's been the Saints DNA under Sean. If other areas were lacking when Sean didn't really have to spend as much time on the QB... How will they look now that he HAS to focus on QB?

If you actually watched the games, you would know that wasn't the case. That outdated system had Brady throwing interceptions left and right. They changed their offense to cater to Brady. You couldn't have looked at the entire season and not notice that.
So what did that same defense do to change?

Interceptions left and right?

Brady only threw 12 INTs all of last year to 40 TDs, and the first 8 games of the season, he threw only 4 picks to 20 TD's in 308 attempts (610 total). He also had more games with no picks (5) the first half of the season than the second half of the season (4)

So statistically speaking, Brady was better the first half of the season, under "that outdated system".
Agreed. But in a way, the other poster was correct too! I even posted about this last week.

In the 4 games before their bye, the Bucs went 1-3, and Brady threw 7 INTs! Safe to say, it looked like the wheels were beginning to fall off in TB!

During the bye it was said Brady was so POed, he went to Arians n forced him to change the O. ( Can’t b mad at Brady either. The dudes one of the GOATs, so he KNOWS a lil bout football! )

In their last 4 games after the bye, the Bucs went 4-0, n Brady threw only 1 pick.

Jus sayn

And then he threw 7 in under 200 passes. Now, if you really want to get into the meat of those stats, we can look the advanced stats to show that Jameis threw the ball further and more consistently than Brady the entirety of the season. I believe he had nearly 1000 more IAY and threw for over 500 more yards while completing 20 less passes. Let that marinate. If you think that Brady was asked to do the same thing that Winston was, you either missed the 2019 season or skimmed over the 2020.

So what did that same defense do to change?
Got better a year under Todd Bowles. Again, if you didn't see the leap in the defense, then a lot was missed. Crap, if we are being honest, the defense carried them through the playoffs.
They were healthier in 2020 too! Some said the Bucs were the healthiest of all the teams in the playoffs.

Anyone else think that a realistic amount of wins for this team with Winston at QB would be 6 to 7? If we can get 8 wins with him at QB. I would be happy honestly. If this front office wants to really compete for a title. We need to go at GB hard for Rodgers or hope seattle fails again and Russell Wilson requests a trade.
Some people just wake up angry at life.

If we have a losing season it's much more likely to be because of the defense. If JW stinks it up and the D struggles as much I think they will we're in big trouble.

I don't want to talk about Jamies.
I want to point out you were wrong in claiming Brady threw picks left and right on the old system, or any system for that matter.

No, he was wrong. Brady did not throw picks left and right. Period.

Ok, but did you also see who the opponents were?
Their last 4 games before the bye: Saints, Panthers (0 INTs), Rams, Chiefs.
The last 4 games of the season: Vikings, Falcons, Lions, Falcons.

And don't you think the bye helped too, get the old man a bit of a breather?

Just sayn.

But I then gave you the point in time when he was. Over a 4 game span, (less than 200 passes), he threw 7 interceptions and they were those crazy interceptions Winston used to get crucified for. Very un-Brady-like right? Yeah, reports were talking about him getting mad and Arian's stopped trying to hand out biscuits. lol

But next time, I'll specify the times for you. (y)

You may want to check the level of competition during that 4 game span (Chiefs, Rams, Saints, coincidentally not picks against the Panthers) deep into the season, before the bye.

And again, this has nothing to do with Winston, but with the fact that your claim that Brady threw picks left and right is wrong.

Geez. Dare to dream.

I think we can do much better than that.
I know right!!!

👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I love my team, n always try to b optimistic! Without #9, obviously things b different for sure. But dang, some folk are talkin gloom n doom n TC ain’t even started! 😂😂😂

But we still have a solid organization, one of the best coaching staffs in the NFL, n lotsa talent!

Most importantly, we’ve got one of the best HCs/offensive minds in the game in Sean Payton. He’s recognized nationally as one of the best in the game today! He built a climate n culture of winning The man is smart, hard nosed n tough. But he’s also flexible. He’s shown his ability to adapt n adjust to his personnel in order to put them in the best position to succeed. He’s also fair, listens to his players n treats them as professionals n as men. As a result, he’s earned their trust n respect!

Sadly, I think some of our own fans don’t even give him the credit he deserves.

Fortunately, all that matters is that his players do! IMO, at the end of the day, he’s the kinda Coach that players WANT to play for and WANT to go to war with!

Stay tuned!
