Are we ready to talk about The Honey Badger? (1 Viewer)

He was a huge downgrade when we signed him. Not sure what y’all expected.
I thought so (he was a huge downgrade) but everyone was SOOO pumped when we signed him, even national guys were saying he was a difference maker. I assumed my feeling was wrong.

He has been awful outside of the one interception.

Tyrann has done what all formerly talented players do. They find a team who is desperate to kick the tires on a used model and let them spend far too much for what he has left under the hood.

It was a great move for him. No so much for our team. :(

Looking back on events prior to the season. It took a long time for him to sign then he disappeared. I swear he was 99% retired and decided to come back and steal some paychecks in his hometown.

The front office was looking for make a splash with the fans and they fell for it.
Not like they needed to sell tickets.

He's getting old, that's all. We don't value safeties like DBs.

He’s PLAYING OUT OF POSITION. The Saints dropped the ball big time not resigning Marcus Williams. We went 7 years trying to find a FS finally got one and let him walk.

Tyrann Mathieu is not a SS

He’s a NCB or FS even a situational LB,

Mayes is a SS yet we have him playing FS

I said this last week our safeties are bad , and it’s not going to get better playing them how we are.

I definitely agree 💯

However, Dennis Allen wanted him for his Defense and then he hasn't made any impact plays and I don't count that fluke interception because it was totally a bad pass from the QB.

I seen more excitement from CGJ who is young compared to the "Missing Badger"...missing in action, missing tackles, missing leadership, missing accountability.

Now I understand why the Chiefs paid for his Uber ride to New Orleans.

Yup, he is out of position. He is on the field instead of standing on the sideline.

Curious if we are ready to chat about how poor he’s played, how scared he is of contact and how out of position he’s been all year…
There is no doubt he's struggled. Missing Marcus Williams more than I thought we would.

I expected some effort at least. If you are done with football and want to squeeze one last contract out before you’re run out of the league that’s fine. Well , it’s not fine but it is what it is. What I don’t understand is why you would do it to your hometown team. There are 31 other teams you could steal a paycheck from

Might have something to do with the fact that we were the only team interested. He’s clearly a liability at this point in his career.
