The dang vax and booster didn't prevent it, but it sure was broadcast that it did.
No but the vax and booster mitigated symptoms in many who did get Covid

Masks, social distancing, PPE, hand sanitation, etc helped prevent the spread of Covid.

I have yet to run across a single doctor who advocated Ivermectin to combat Covid

I agree it's not for prevention but rather for treatment of the severe inflammation caused by covid. Covid has been found to not only cause inflammation in the respiratory system, but within other areas of the body as well, and ivermectin has become established with decades of use in helping stem inflammation.
NSAID’s also stem inflammation.

in that regard, should every medicine that helps with Covid symptoms be considered Covid prevention in place of vaccines? Tylonol, Motrin, Asprin, Zyrtec, the list goes on. We all know the issue with ivermectin wasn't that people were pushing it as something to relieve symptoms, it was being pushed by the crazies as a replacement for the vaccine, as some kind of wonder drug, my brother being one of those.

Son of a gun.

after reading that, i feel like it says the opposite of your claim that the Gov't worked with FB to censor free speech. i got that Facebook refused to do what the gov't was asking them to do.

It went both ways. But the The White House was sure putting the hand on the scales of social media to censor. That's a fact.
I have never said that ivermectin was a cure. I said it helped many people with the symptoms. I know many of them.

I'm not a government boot licker.
This is one of many similar responses from you, Oz. This thread is a 615 page thread about the vaccine and it's apparent you haven't followed it or read most of it. You are regurgitating points that have been brought here several times. My issue with your arguments are that you're not here to discuss, in earnest, the vaccine and what we've learned about it and what the statistics have shown to be valid and the reasonable conclusions that can be derived from them.

You came into the thread from a p.o.v. that is rooted in your political ideology (you've admitted to it several times) and it is not based on the science or the stats that have shown the success of the vaccines. You've passively called out those in this thread as not being objective or coming to conclusions based due to a bias (pot? Kettle?). With few exceptions, the prior 615 pages show otherwise. You keep doubling back to a disdain for government, liberals and that the government lied and that's why you have not and will not get the vaccine.

You puffed up your chest and told us about how you and your healthy, low body fat self have skirted serious illness (or contracting COVID at all?). Sincerely, that's good for you. We can pull up instances on both sides about those that succumbed to COVID and those that avoided serious illness or long-covid symptoms. But you haven't presented anything that has disproved the effectiveness of the vaccines. Just keep repeating that "someone said it would prevent COVID" and you won't let that go. Because you don't want to believe the proof. Fine, but stop insulting us as if we don't get it. I think we do and have been fluid in trying to sort it out for quite a while.

Your one-man case study doesn't disprove the success of the vaccine (which is the thread topic, not about the evil government libs). Sadly, St. PJ had a similar opinion on the matter, but wasn't as fortunate as you.

Either present real info on the subject or take this to https://madaboutpolitics.com/

Flat Earthers and Moon Landing Hoaxers exist. They are free to have those their views, free to believe those views and free to express those views

But if a believer is a teacher, and if he or she starts teaching his or her students that globes are lies and the moon landing was filmed in a studio the school will put an immediate stop to either the lessons or that person's teaching career

I wouldn't say that the school is censoring that teacher, but instead the school is simply is not permitting non scientific, easily (and often) debunked bullshirt to be told to impressionable school children who may believe it without question

The schoolteacher/student example is much more comparable to the antivaxxer/believer than some would like to think.

Of course not. Never said it was. I said it helped with symptoms in some people. When those people said that on many social media platforms, it was taken down, or not allowed at all, labeled as "misinformation".
And to put all of this to bed without writing a condescending novel (like some do on here), I decided not to get vaxxed until I did my homework, see how it worked with others. see if the pharma industry had case studies showing it would prevent contraction and spread (never did). Plus, when I saw others degrading people who were skeptical about the vax, I decided to wait even longer. Here I am, not "turning things opposite of what people say".
Any way, it's been fun. Hope you guys stay well.
