Arrow - Spoilers galore (1 Viewer)

I liked it. But, the sequence where Felicity fights off Rico...nahhhh. This is a guy who is supposed to give Arrow a run for his money, and he doesn't off Felicity? Doesn't make a lot of sense imo. But, I'm ok with it since she's always been easy on the eyes. Dinah as police chief doesn't make a whole lot of sense either. It doesn't feel like something she'd do after what she did last season. I dunno.

That said, I suspect there will be a lot to like. One can hope, heh.

So no one's been talking about the show recently but I'm still going to put a spoiler in here for the last episode.
Did I hear Dante right in that Emiko is the leader of the Ninth Circle?

That’s what she said but I have my doubts that she is actually in charge. At best, I think he was the leader and has groomed her to take over, but Dante is still more capable and dangerous than her. He barely flinched when she threatened him with a dagger.

I’m honestly pretty cold on the Emiko stuff so far. I don’t see how anything she was doing earlier (Green Arrow missions, visiting Robert Queen’s grave for council, staying away from Oliver at all costs) lines up with where she is now. I also think the actress is pretty bad.

More than that though, it bugs me when the show nerfs Oliver as needed. They finally started to let him be the unstoppable force/Uber weapon that he was in the first 2-3 seasons but now Emiko (who did not look all that great as the “new green arrow”) can hang with him?

I know that the show was trying for a “he could have killed her (he had her in that dragon sleeper/neck-breaker hold) but he was conflicted” thing but I feel like after all of these years and double-crosses, Oliver shouldn’t be easily falling for these tricks anymore.

So what about the implication that Emiko had something to do with the sinking of the Queen's Gambit? It originally was Malcolm. How are they gonna ret-con that?

That sounds like a job for the LoT to screw things up for the better...

I agree...sorta. I think part of it is Oliver is still a softy when it comes to family. He had the same problem with his other sister, so this isn't at all surprising. He's still trying to win her over.

After the last episode, sure seems like Emiko is the leader, but only up to the point that Dante allows it. Essentially, Dante is still in control and Emiko is more of a figurehead. Will be curious to see if Oliver can actually turn her.

Can we ditch the spoiler tags since it appears the only ones active here are caught up?

Works for me. Wonder if that would work for someone new to the thread wandering in here. I don't think it'd be a big deal though. Maybe put spoilers in the thread title to be safe?

I read that what happened is she had that envelope with her when she told her father she wouldn't help him. So the implication is that she could've stopped the sinking but decided to allow it to go forward leaving Malcolm as the one that did the deed.

Yeah, I think that is correct.
