Arrow - Spoilers galore (2 Viewers)

The lack of flash forwards absolutely helped the episode.

Although Emiko mentioning “destroying [Oliver’s] legacy” reminded me of his apparent failure (and bad rep) in the future Star City. That was a bummer during an otherwise creative/twisty episode.

I can understand Emiko's freak out over her dad...but I'm not quite seeing why she has hatred for Oliver. I didn't really see that ending coming because she obviously didn't want to kill Rene. Seems to me she can't make up her mind, but there's no in between for her.

Yeah, I agree. She has got to go at this point; she has been given several chances to take a step back but has made a kill attempt each time.

I’m not sure why she hates Oliver so much. Because of what she did and events she set in motion (he never did anything against her), he went through just as much personal and family turmoil as she did. And her moves against him were intentional, which wasn’t the case for her.

And all he has done is try to protect her (even when it wasn’t deserved), be honest with her, apologize to her, and extend an olive branch to her.

I’m not sure why she hates him, but she seems to be an irredeemable villain at this point. She’s got to get got.

Another solid episode tonight. Won't spoil anything yet. Also, I can't believe the season finale is only a week away. Then, just 10 episodes and it's over.

I just finished watching as well. It's really picked up the pace. Indeed, finale already next up. But, with Agents of Shield on tap, it will be like trading one good thing for another good thing.

Yeah, I really enjoyed this episode as well. It was GREAT to see that character back. I really liked his scenes with Oliver.

I’m still iffy on the possibility of an Emiko redemption. She’s not someone who simply thinks killing is the only way to stop bad people (Oliver’s cycle of violence). She is gleefully torturing him way beyond measure (just because she hates their dad), and murdering innocent people by the truckload.

And now she wants to set off a bio-weapon to kill even more innocent people. She’s literally the head of a mass-murderering terrorist organization.

The story definitely doesn’t need to end with her being killed (even though she deserves it). Oliver can capture her alive and they can make a great ending out of that.

But I kinda want her to rot in a cell somewhere. I think any kind of real redemption would be very difficult for the show to pull off.

I would've preferred they shoot her in the head instead of what we got. Meh.

Lmao, weird finale. I liked some parts, hated others. Didn't care for the ending. I never liked the flash forward thing, and they went back to that well again...grrr. And geez, entirely too much talking. Everyone was yammering, on and on and on. I just wanted to jump in the screen and smack some people in the mouth. I can be pretty sentimental at times, and I know this probably was Felicity's sendoff...but, ugh, we get it. It's freaking Arrow! Not the mushy Felicity hour.

That said, maybe there's hope for next season. I am curious to see where things go for Oliver.

Arrow's fascination with Felicity is the same as the Flash's obsession with speedsters and time travel. It's a PITA.

Without a doubt. At least the Flash's obsession is somewhat justifiable. Arrow? Other than Felicity being eye candy, I don't see much in the way of redeeming qualities.

First off, when I was talking about the last segment, I was referring to the Monitor stuff with Oliver that's setting up Crisis, not the Felicity exit. Good riddance to her. However, that last scene makes it seem like Ollie may still be alive, but just not able to return to Earth 1. Felicity said, "I've waited a long time to see him" before she steps into the portal.
Either way, they better spend the last ten episodes focusing on The Green Arrow. You know, the basis of the show...

I think I'm OK with the Monitor angle, but...Felicity was told it's a one way ticket, then how does she get back? And why not Arrow? It's just weird. Unless the Monitor placed conditions on her returning to Earth. She's in the flash forward scenes. How did she get there?

Too many questions, lol.
