Best hole in the wall restaurants in N.O?

Rocky and Carlo's.
One time I watched a 300lb lady carry a 20lb block of lard under her armpit, and then throw it in the fryer.

Great food, and the claw machine was great fun as a kid. We used to go to Rocky and Carlo's after every highschool football game almost.

(don't know if any of these would qualify as hole-in-the-wall)

Fiorella's for sure is one of my favorite hole-in-the-wall places!

Also, Parasol's in the Irish Channel makes a great poboy!

My favorite was Sid Mars in Bucktown, unfortunatly, it will be gone forever. There's are two places in Metry, Fury's and Fausto's Kitchen. For poboys, a real hole in the wall, Buddy's Poboys.
