Bills fan here..... Joe Brady (21 Viewers)

We understand, as a Bills fan you don't want to lose Joe Brady, because he found a way to have Josh Allen play nearly mistake free football.....

Would like for him to be our HC next year after watching him coach your offense to victory this Sunday....

It's very possible that if the Bills win, the Saints sign McCarthy, as they can't make any offers to Brady until the Bills lose. But if the Bills lose, he'll be fully engulfed into the interviewing process along with McCarthy.

So, ask yourself, would you rather see the Bills win increasing McCarthy odds, or the Bills lose increasing Brady odds?

This is a logical fallacy argument. You leave out many key factors including which teams were the opposition, injuries, personnel, etc.

The truth is every unit is a combination of coach and talent. Look at the Chiefs' defense in the last couple of years. Steve Spagnuolo has been the defensive coordinator there while they have played excellent defense. This is the same Steve Spagnuolo who was DC of the New Orleans Saints when they set an all time NFL record for worst defense in a season.

Do you think he somehow had some crazy epiphany that turned him into a defensive genius after leaving the Saints, or maybe it has a lot more to do with the players he had then and the players he has now? If you're unsure, you might want to look at his track record before he was the Saints' DC.

Sure, players make a coordinator look good, but a good coordinator also makes his players look good. You bring up Brady's time in Carolina as an example of how "bad" he is as a coordinator, but the truth is they had almost no players who had NFL starting talent. Of course the offense did badly. Vince Lombardi couldn't have done much of anything with that squad.

I am pulling for the Bills to win the Super Bowl this year, but I sure wouldn't mind Brady being named head coach in New Orleans because he obviously inspires players and if that isn't the most important factor in a head coach, it's certainly #2.

Oh oh poor Ken Dorsey

After Dorsey and the Bills won the first two games of the 2022 season in dominating fashion, he received national attention for an incident following the Bills' last-second loss to the rival Miami Dolphins in week 3. At the end of the game, Dorsey was caught on-camera reacting emotionally in the coaches' box, slamming his hat, headset, and Microsoft Surface tablet on the table before the telecast cut away.[28] Dorsey's reaction received a polarized response from fans, players, and analysts.[29] The Bills ultimately finished the 2022 season second in points scored and yardage in Dorsey's first year as offensive coordinator.[30]

On November 14, 2023, Dorsey was fired by the Bills after a 5–5 start to the season, including a slump that saw the Bills lose 4 of 6 games while struggling on offense. He was succeeded by quarterbacks coach Joe Brady.[31]

TBH, I don't think it makes much of a difference.....I think the Saints already know who they want to hire (McCarthy), but if he goes elsewhere maybe Brady is the backup plan....just my feeling....

I have very small hope for the Saints over the next couple of seasons. I'm for scratching the soft rebuild strategy and going as "all-in" as feasible on a 3 year plan to revamp the roster, coaching staff, cap situation, and culture. I'm for whatever coach brings THAT as his vision. I want to do what the Lions have done. (losing in the playoffs is acceptable if it's obvious the team is ascending and on the right path as a true contender)

I kinda lean towards a guy like Brady. Offensive minded, young and hungry to prove-it, and completely different than what we've become "accustomed to" over the past few seasons. With him, i feel like we'd be dedicated to find the next elite young QB and a few elite skill players. The type players that give you a chance every week. I also believe that he would allow more control over the defense to whoever he brought in to be the DC.

I think it's definitely a good idea to taper expectations when you have someone who is leaving a HOF type talent. In NYC, I think Daboll's biggest issue is that he thought he could turn Jones into Allen. And they wasted a few years doing that.

The scheme Brady has come up with to hide the lack of any #1 or #2 type WR this year has been impressive, though. I know it's really frustrating to see the offensive numbers be so low this year, but there really isn't much outside of Allen and Cook to work with. I said last night that I was shocked that Buffalo was able to score on that Baltimore D with the limited offensive weapons they have. That's as much on the coordinator as it is Allen.

Still, I do have hesitation with Brady given that his best years have been with LSU Burrow and NFL Allen. But sometimes, you just have to take a chance. It really can't get much worse around here than it already is.
It ALWAYS can get worse and usually does right when someone says it can't.
