Bought my first legal weed (15 Viewers)

Seriously, between CO and here I have lived in legal cannabis for 15 years now.

I have a medical card and here in Oregon that eliminates the excise taxes. We have no state or city sales tax here either.

What is shocking is the prices you all pay.

We pay about $12-25 for a good 1/8th and $40 for an ounce of mid grade. 80-100 for high quality ounce.

Vape pen full grams is between $20-50. $50 being for the high end full spectrum live resin carts.

Gummies are $5-15 for 10 10mg pieces.

Yup, it's expensive that flower, I still have a friend who will only smoke flower....

I actually prefer edibles, no more than 10MG, 20 would put me down for a few hours, anymore than that I would be a total zombie....

Value wise, vape pens and carts are the way to go, most have little to no smell and one full cart lasts me 3-4 weeks.....welcome aboard brother, legal weed is safe and a smart way to help with sleep and other issues....
 
I bought my in-laws some gummies a while back after they became legal in CO for one of their birthdays. Fast forward a few years and my mother-in-law mentioned to my wife that they've been using them ever since to help relax and go to sleep at night.

Per suggestion from the guy behind me who is an expert on weed, I settled on an Indica strain called Good Green. I returned home, got showered and settled in, and smoked my first legal bowl. The relaxing effect was immediate, and I stayed pretty high for about an hour. Went to be normal time, and slept 6 1/2 hours which is an epic achievement for me.

I don't intend for daily use, more of an occasional or "break glass in case of emergency" but it really helped. I'm glad it's legal in Maryland because now my employer can't drug test us

Perhaps one could make the argument that since weed is now legal, my purchase qualifies as generic corporate :rasta:

Sounds like you should have hit the weed store BEFORE the meeting.

If you can find you some Delta 9 CBD I highly recommend. I have found it to be the most effective I've tried. I take the gummies and one about 90 mins before bed has worked wonders for me.

Hit me up next time you have to go to Linthicum and we can grab a beer. It's an easy drive for me to get there.
 
I live in NJ. I have 2 dispensaries within 10 minutes of me. Life is good.

I am not sure having 2 dispensaries within 10 minutes makes up for living in NJ to make Life Good, but I will take your word for it.

That said, I will be happy when cannabis is legal federally and even more happy if they include Home Grow. Doubtful they include home-grow though, because big pharma is already losing out and politicians/lobbyist want to insure cannabis is monetized so they get their share of the profits.

I can't imagine paying $50 an eighth for bud when I could take that same $50 and grow an entire plant producing 8 oz instead of an 1/8th oz.

People still buy tomatoes. Hopefully, they realize that and still allow people willing to put in the effort to grow their own bud.

It's forking ridiculous....the dispensary here in Baton Rouge is charging $80-$100 for .5 gram vape pods. You can get sealed 2-3 gram disposable vape pens on the street for $60

Damn. I have my medical card here in Florida and I generally pay $20 or less per 8th and can get distillate cartridges for $30 or less. The live rosin/resin carts are where it's at though.
