Not against nor not overly excited. His time with the Charger just concern me.

So we do not know, yet.Moore has said repeatedly that he creates a system that bets fits his players. He's said that every player has a super power and it's the coaches job to figure out how to use that super power.
I'd be really surprised if Moore hired a DC that doesn't share that philosophy and approach on the defensive side of the ball. I think Staley's going to run whatever defense best fits the current roster. That might be a 3-4, but it might not be.
Tanoh I think is a FA and not sure Shepherd worth keeping around. May be an opportunity to upgrade.Yup
Bresee and Cam are your DE’s backed up by Shep and Tanoh
Saunders is your NT backed up by Ridgeway
Chase, Granderson and Foskey at OLB, this is where we will need to add someone.
Shepherd, Tano, Shaunders, Granderson could be trade bait, maybe even draft day trades if we are switching to a 3-4.Tanoh I think is a FA and not sure Shepherd worth keeping around. May be an opportunity to upgrade.
He's not going to be the Head Coach. He did have some head scratching moments when he had that title, but he is a solid, attacking coach. Not against nor not overly excited. His time with the Charger just concern me.
Saunders looks more like a NT than he plays like a NT.Bresee and Cam are your DE’s backed up by Shep and Tanoh

Agreed. He's really good on MNF, but any other time? NahSaunders looks more like a NT than he plays like a NT.
I think we need an upgrade at that spot.
Tano is not under contract. Cannot imagine anyone giving up anything for Shepherd. I would think they will want to keep Granderson.Shepherd, Tano, Shaunders, Granderson could be trade bait, maybe even draft day trades if we are switching to a 3-4.
We will need tweener rush ends (6-2 - 6-3 250lb edge guys) and a true nose tackle which neither Saunders nor Shepherd appear to be.
I think Young will be back. He’s a young pass rusher that we need. He will get probably around 12-13 million a year on a 3-4 year deal, which we can easily do while lowering his current cap number. Cam I believe takes a paycut to stick around. The Saints finally catch a break this draft is loaded with 3-4 DEs and rush LBs.
On paper your D doesn’t look too bad. But Young is all but gone. He was drawing interest before the increase in the cap was released. Now he’ll get $$$ on the open market. And Cam…..love the guy but it wouldn’t be shocking if he were released.
Tanoh is a FA, but he won’t be anything more than a minimum contract signing. Shepard wouldn’t save much by releasing him this year, might as well keep him around for another season as depth imo.Tanoh I think is a FA and not sure Shepherd worth keeping around. May be an opportunity to upgrade.
Saunders can take up a double team, that’s all we need from him. Sure that spot can use an upgrade, but so can alot of spots that we cannot upgrade all in one offseason. We also have Ridgeway who looks to be a natural NT and is young and could be that guy, along with Boyd who would both be backups or even starters if they outplay Saunders.Saunders looks more like a NT than he plays like a NT.
I think we need an upgrade at that spot.
