Bronny James (Lebron's son) suffered on court cardiac arrest (1 Viewer)

Spend 5 mins on twitter, everyone just says sarcastically "Gee I wonder what could have caused that" instead of being men and just admit what they really wanna say. "Covid Vaccines"

I see the usual suspects in the media insinuating that but are too afraid to just say it.

Oh there's so many more things to insinuate. Open your mind.

My first thought was Len Bias, then Hank Geathers even though those were 2 completely different reasons for dropping dead. I just hope they can figure out what went wrong with Bronny and get it cleared up.

I'm not saying it's the vaccine but it could definitely be the vaccine.

In seriousness, Cardiac Arrest at 18 is a very big problem and I wish Bronny all the best care and support he can get.

this could go in a couple of other topics as well

I have already seen social media posts blaming "the jab."

I am in my late forties and carry way too much around my midsection, I got all the jabs and recently increased my workouts and took up a new sport (Tennis).

Why didn't the jab give me a heart attack?

There is plenty of proof that the jab has caused issues....the fact that they didn't in you specifically is not evidence of anything.

Still, the positives of the vaccine far outweigh the negatives (which is true of pretty much every vaccine in use) and blaming every cardiac issue in the news on the vaccine is just asinine

Tennis is awesome. Don't let the pickleball players tell you otherwise.

Was just coming to say the same thing, knowing which way the thread was going to turn.

Mycarditis is a possibility, to what extent I have no idea. It's a bit irresponsible to push that idea without more study, just like it'd be irresponsible to push the idea that it could be from PED use. There are a lot of factors that could have contributed to it, such as dehydration or recent illness. Hopefully they find what it was and can correct it. Hopefully they also share what it was so that the public can learn from it.

Plus someone already posted an article showing that basketball players are far more prone to cardiac issues than athletes in the other major sports and that data pre-dates the covid vaccines.

That is something I am curious about especially since so many positions in football (mostly the lines) have players carrying a lot more fat on them than basketball players. I was thinking that it might be due to height somehow but NFL linemen aren't exactly short, either

Just me speculating, but my thought is basketball puts a lot more stress on cardio than just about any other sport I can think of. The constant changing directions, running on hard floors and testing the limits of cardio frequently can put more stress on the heart which in turn exposes any abnormalities in the heart.

Taller people have to work harder to keep up and run with shorter people, so I'd think that contributes as well.

I was thinking the same, but think about the stress on the hearts of linemen. 300+ pound men who can squat over 500 pounds exploding out of a low stance with all their force and then making contact with another player of similar size and strength in direct opposition over and over about 75 times a game with 100% effort and intensity
And for pure cardio effort, look at soccer players

Sure, but there ain't no seven foot tall soccer players. :hihi: And while there's a lot of running in soccer, there are a lot more lulls than basketball. As for football, the contact itself doesn't put much stress on cardio and its not like they're constantly running up and down the court at speed. Also, football players don't normally play both sides of the ball, which is also different from basketball.

I've played all of those sports extensively and nothing compares to basketball imo as far as cardio. The intensity level stays higher for longer periods of time. It's just a different thing imo.

All that said, we still don't yet know what caused the issue with Bronny, so I'm curious to see what the cause was, or if they even figure it out.
