I guess they figure as long as he’s not getting killed out there (he’s not) it’s a quicker process for him to learn in game action instead of practice.

He also was in just his second start and against maybe the league’s best defense.

To be fair, our defense looked great! We shut down Tannehill last week too.

Tannehill went 20-24 246 yards and a TD today versus his 16-34 198 yards 0 TDs and 3 INT last week.

I was reading a profile on him before the game, talking about how he excels throwing horizontal leads but is pretty average otherwise. If that’s his ceiling, the NFL won’t be easy for him.

They need receivers but they did give up DJ Moore to get Bryce. They probably should've just kept Moore and taken a QB next year.

He’s got poise for sure. When he does gain reps and confidence. We’ll have our hands full. He seemed more calm than Carr at times. I hate to admit.

That one drop by Mingo was really really bad.

The pass that put them inside 5 at end, Mingo was so out of phase his momentum carried him out. Any other WR and that's a TD. It was weird to see an NFL receiver not be able to turn hips and get upfield.

I think he was a good college qb that played for a loaded Bama team. I doubt will be anywhere near that successful in the NFL. No way should have gone #1. Would have taken stroud or richardson over him.
