Butler agrees to terms with Saints (merged) (3 Viewers)

Maybe he plays fast, but he sure has a slow 40. He only ran a 4.84 at the combine.

Victor Butler: Combine Stats at NFL.com

If he's that slow, he'll be a liability in coverage. Imagine him trying to keep up with the slew of 4.6 and faster TEs that have proliferated. That's not a good combination, particularly since he's only 6'2". These measurables suggest a specialist/backup, so I think we'll still be looking for a LB in the draft.

I wonder if he has improved at all since joining the league in 2009.

This would imply that if he can produce in a starting role like he did in his limited role with Dallas that this could be one hell of a signing. It oozes classic Loomis signings- upside player, reasonable contract, etc.

i imagine he has, since he's still in the league... but that was sarcasm, right? sometimes i feel like sheldon when it comes to recognizing it

It was. Nothing wrong your sarcasometer. :9:

Nice find.

That projects out to about 13 sacks and 5 forced fumbles.

That's production at the rush edge position we have been needing for years.
