Can you imagine the meltdown at this place if the saints lose Sunday? (2 Viewers)

That same formula worked pretty well for them for 15 years. When you have a Brees and Payton, that helps. They don't have that now and with the average to poor drafts and misses in free agency, not to mention a bad head coach, the results are hardly shocking.

I do think they do need to make some changes and maybe change their approach, but I don't believe for a minute they don't care.

He would never resign. Results are not what matter.
It doesn’t matter to ML either because good franchises look at the bigger picture. Read:

I have messed this team up beyond repair. If we had a cloned combination of Bill Walsh/Bill Parcels/Bill Belichick (called mega Bill) coaching this team he couldn’t do any better, so we are gonna ride this train wreck of a head coach down the tubes so we can fix this mess and then get a proper coach.

In other words we are stuck with DA for the rest of the year at best if not for the next few years.

DA wins these type of games. Raiders, Panthers, and Giants are gonna be three more wins on the season.

Maybe they beat ATL and TB as well in best case scenario of finishing the season 7-10. I believe they’ll get swept by at least one these two and finish the season 6-11.

Exactly. We're playing Bryce Young and Carolina just traded their best receiver. I could see it being a convincing win that he and Loomis will overhype. We usually do well against the bottom of the barrel, 50-50 against meh teams and lose to good teams.

I can't even think about a loss this weekend. I'm actually laughing at what that could look like.

Meltdown? We haven’t lost 6 games in a row since the year before Payton got here. Can’t be much worse than what we have now. 6,7,8,9 in a row what is the difference?

Not sure. Might be a big sigh of acceptance with nothing left to argue about. The furor will probably be higher with a close, ugly win.
My thoughts exactly. A loss equals the finality of the nail that no one can miss.

@ Cajun Chat …. You think so? Maybe a couple of weeks ago if they were on the docket but now …. I don’t know. I am kind of with the other posters in this thread I think full blown apathy has set in or is for sure taking hold. Whatever culture we were trying to preserve is long gone.

Sidebar (and I tried to snap a photo but the light changed) Thursday leaving work downtown I saw a pretty funny costume. A lady was wearing Denver Broncos gear compleat with Payton’s Broncos visor and a giant juicy fruit box on a chain around her neck. She had a guy, I am guessing her boyfriend, on a leash with a spiked dog collar he had poorly dyed black hair and a tattered and ripped up black saints hoodie and ripped up black pants on with his face all made up like he got beat up. She was walking around dragging him down Rampart heading towards the French Quarter. I was hoping NOLA would have gotten a picture and put it up, but alas no luck.

I think that says a lot people still care for sure but the team is becoming a joke.

Fair…but that was a different franchise than now. That franchise had Payton and Brees, which were clearly the two forces that keep this franchise competitive. Since then…it’s been the same repeated mistakes. For how many years have we known that Allen isn’t the answer? For how many years have we known that the medical staff is atrocious? And yet here we are. We are trapped watching this team with a comfortable front office not willing to make changes that every Saints fan knows needs to be made. I don’t know what you want to call it…you’ve heard what I’ve called it and it lead to an infraction…but whatever you want to call it, it’s not good. It’s becoming insulting toward fans

What would it matter if the Saints lose to the Panthers? Do you think it would change anything at all? Dennis Allen will still be the coach come Monday. No adjustments will be made.
