Can you imagine the meltdown at this place if the saints lose Sunday? (2 Viewers)

They will lose this game. But, they will go on a 5 game win streak to end the season, looking like a true playoff team, but missing the playoffs. Its gonna happen.

I'm at the point that if you're not good/healthy enough to make a serious run into (and through) the playoffs, then don't "win enough" games to end up in the 13-16 draft spot.
You think that because your job is not on the line. ML and DA will be just fine with a 7-10 record.

As for a meltdown, it seems that more people will be mad if we win tomorrow.

I'm at the point where wins will irritate me more than losses. I.E. 7-10 finish and drafting 14.

Besides, we are all focused on looking beyond the results. This keeps us calm.

Exactly where I’m at basically

the odds of us making the playoffs is so slim due to divisional records and we have a loss to both leaders removing the sweep

I’d rather make roster moves now and play the young guys for evaluation though injuries are accomplishing the latter

Saw this article, the Saints universe comment is telling

I mean, we aren't making the playoffs (again) so does it really matter? Other than draft position?

That said, I never want the Saints to lose, but if they do and the silver lining is DA resigning I wouldn't be too upset about that.....

Every time the Saints lose a game this forum becomes Tigerdroppings.com...

@ Cajun Chat …. You think so? Maybe a couple of weeks ago if they were on the docket but now …. I don’t know. I am kind of with the other posters in this thread I think full blown apathy has set in or is for sure taking hold. Whatever culture we were trying to preserve is long gone.

Sidebar (and I tried to snap a photo but the light changed) Thursday leaving work downtown I saw a pretty funny costume. A lady was wearing Denver Broncos gear compleat with Payton’s Broncos visor and a giant juicy fruit box on a chain around her neck. She had a guy, I am guessing her boyfriend, on a leash with a spiked dog collar he had poorly dyed black hair and a tattered and ripped up black saints hoodie and ripped up black pants on with his face all made up like he got beat up. She was walking around dragging him down Rampart heading towards the French Quarter. I was hoping NOLA would have gotten a picture and put it up, but alas no luck.

I think that says a lot people still care for sure but the team is becoming a joke.
Aside from the state of our team that is freaking hilarious.

I don't think so. I think that most fans know/feel that this season is thoroughly cooked. Something is rotten in Denmark, and that's us.

The turnaround starts tomorrow! Every game is winnable! Carr at QB gives us a fighting chance the rest of the way! That’s not a drunkards logic either it’s simply favorable odds due to teams over looking us, dealing with their own injuries, and believing that they will beat us by just showing up! So, we basically tricked them! It VooDoo! Enjoy the mind boggling effects of NFL parody!

Oh it's parody alright, :hihi:.

I look at it like this seeing that costume while funny in its own right that shows me at least people still care. That said if we keep heading in this direction it’s going to get down to how it was in Ditka’s last season with half empty superdome crowds and you won’t see any people poking fun of the team on floats or costumes at Halloween.

I do trust in management enough that they won’t let it get to that level where the coach is flipping off fans while he walks out of the stadium and the city just doesn’t care anymore. I also trust in this fan base that no matter how bad it gets we will still care.
