Christian McCaffrey or Alvin Kamara ??? (1 Viewer)

Kamara would be the best RB of all time if he were in San Francisco.

It's all about the system. The raw talent of both is obvious.
I agree. Id still rather have Kamara. He just doesn’t have the weapons around him. Imagine if we had a Debo and Kittle teams had to worry about. I remember Panthers fans saying we got the best back 2 or 3 years into their careers.

I think Kamara took a step back this year that makes me wonder if his best days are behind him but at their peak I think they were what and what.

It's hard for AK when he's getting hit in the backfield on nearly every run. He has to break at least one tackle to gain a positive yard. For the value of a 3rd round draft pick vs a 1st that cmac was, I think AK is the better value. I'd take either one of em to build a team around. If a system was built around AK like Tennessee did with Henry, we might have seen a 2k yard year.

Currently CMC is so much more effective and plays on such a better team it's impossible to compare. For the first few years Kamara was better.

Yeah top 3 ??? I don't think so

Hell, I saw where Skip Bayless said Barry Sanders was overrated,,
Now I know he's on TV meant to stir the pot, but that's just a stupid statement right there.
Impossible to over rate Barry. Clear-cut head and shoulders above every RB to play. He had so many handicap in Detroit compared to Emmitt

Oh give me a break.

🤣🤣🤣

So based on your triple crying face emoji, you must think Christian is actually significantly better? Would love to hear it.

Love how you left out the rest of my post, though. Their numbers have been nearly identical. But the eye test for me, is that the top plays of each players career, Kamara's top plays are vastly more impressive.

I watched Craig...a lot. Sorry, but CMac is better. Craig was no slouch and a top tier RB, but not quite on CMac's level.

That said, it's hard to compare backs from a generation or 2 ago. The offenses are just different now.

I would tend to agree, they were markedly different backs. Both insanely productive....but Craig was more of a power back while CMC is a bit more dynamic, quicker/faster.....

CMC already has 5 1,000 yards rushing seasons in 8 seasons. In 11 seasons Craig only had 3 1,000 yard seasons....he's already surpassed Craig in TD's (83-72).....

I think both CMC and AK are HOF level RB's

Agreed. I do think both aren't HOF locks just yet, but they're on their way with a few more solid seasons imo.

Having a true tightend on the team would help AK but he is still not as good as CM at this point in their careers.

I agree it is hard to compare them because of the gap. I just remember seeing Craig at the top of his game. So much time has passed and yes the offenses are worlds apart.

I think that's why the best of all time is a loaded question to any player at any position.

Kamara did have those types of luxuries, they just manifested differently. He had Drew Brees,MT,Ingram and a top-notch offensive line. We just never fully capitalized on the opportunities we had with AK.

I remember thinking there isn't a RB that catch a deep pass like Alvin then Drew got hurt and the arm went south and that was that. He and Ingram were perfect together so much, I actually enjoyed watching them on Deon Sander 21st and Prime.
