For all you horror fans out there, Fan Expo is adding a crap load of stuff to their schedule for the weekend during and afterhours.

The final schedule for Fan Expo New Orleans is live for those attending. I'll probably be there all three days if any one wants to meet up.

Lots of good stuff planned.

So who all is making the trip this weekend? We can do a meetup.

Day 2 was pretty packed for Fan Expo. I hard to drive around a few times to find a way into a lot near the convention center. Crowd was really good and they had about 8 comic book vendors there. Far fewer cancellations this year than last year, which is expected considering Omicron began to peak right around last year's show.

Ironically, the guy who owns Humble Entertainment (the LA Comic Con folks) was there also. After he walked off, the rest of us talked about the split from AVC. Apparently his partner at AVC is far younger and wanted to do more shows (it's why you're seeing more Anime shows, etc. from him). Humble is trying to take it easy, has family, wants to do family things. He's more of a comics guy also.

Apparently the Bossier City show did not do well either.

I'll be back tomorrow for Day 3.

Jim Shooter was awesome. Was getting an issue of Secret Wars signed and without prompting he just starts telling me a story about him and Chris Claremont butting heads over story details (Claremont didnt want him writing Spider-Man as being sble to hang eith the X-Men power wise) and how he spent years convinced Claremont hated him because he was a very hard headed guy but how they reconnected on the con circuit and got along much better now.

Also got some nice signed Art Adams stuff. Had an awesome time today.

He signed some stuff for me as well. Asked him about an interview for the show. He tells me me, "Come see me tomorrow and we'll talk about setting up a talk."

Dude wants $2,500 for a commission.

That's a spicy meatball hahaha.

Fan Expo knows how to put on a show. I still find it weird that they put Raimi's panel on tomorrow and not the busiest day. Guest it's a gimmick to get folks to come back.
