Could Rattler be our QB1 after another year or 2 of development? (merged) (7 Viewers)

I'm all for letting him start from here on out. Move on from Carr (who is not the problem nor solution) and let this franchise rebuild with some better picks.

I'd rather root for a young team with promise than whatever the heck this year has been.

He has the most potential of any QB on the roster, but I would still be in favor of finding another one.
For the capital we gave up to get him, it’d be a win if Rattler just developed into a solid backup. It’s early, but I don’t know if i see him developing into anything more than a backup. We have to keep looking until it’s obvious we found a starter.

He has the talent to be the guy. He showed very good command of the offense today. I think that was something he was missing in his prior starts. Like David said, I would start Rattler the rest of the year. Let him get experience and build chemistry with the O line.

If he strings together some good to great performances it really allows the draft to be more BPA than focused on finding a QB to groom for the future.

He does not need developmental years. He, like Carr, needs better players around him on offense.

Rattler mounted a comeback with nothing to work with on offense outside of Miller; he threw on time to spots and made plays; he brought that team back, not any skill position player. That was all Rattler and his ability to play the position.
