2 P-51's and an F-22?

I've been a proponent for reopening, but doing it in a way that not only keeps people safe, but also preaches a message that things are not normal to where people relax.

I think this specific measure not only directly helps on the safety/tracking front, but also helps keep people in line mentally from falling into the belief that things are going to be normal now.
All fair points.

I didn't realize Red Lobster was so good that people would wait 3 hours to eat there.

Things like that video make me wonder how it is that we survived to be the dominant species on the planet. Dinosaurs wouldn't act like that.

I hear you. I mean, I'm never all that comfortable giving out private information to anyone. But, at the same point, I've given out this information plenty times to make reservations at restaurants and given out even more information to get an Uber, get on a plane, etc. I guess it's the fact that the government will have easy access to it that makes the difference. But, in the end, it's really not much different than making a reservation.

At the same time, I'm probably not going to go eat at a restaurant while this is going on anyway.

Context is everything. The government is requiring that you give your personal information to eat at a restaurant. The government is requiring that a private place of business obtain this information and retain it in order to provide it to the government. I've never eaten out under those conditions, to my knowledge. And I won't eat at a restaurant under those conditions.

We will have a new baby some time this week or next so I don't know if I will eat out any time soon anyway. But if it were to be in Orleans, I'd use a pseudonym and pay cash.

This is quite simply going too far. I can see making a request that people participate in such a practice. But to make it into a requirement, even if unenforceable? That's just wrong.

Oh, it can get much worse just by not getting better fast.

The ironic part of all of this, if we had just listened to Science and Math we could be damn near fully reopen with almost no virus left in the USA. The same people crying about the economy are the same ones that refused to listen and causing the problem. I'm beyond angry. These people ignore common sense then get angry when common sense wins and their answer is to try to defeat common sense with stupidity. It's a nasty cycle and until we break it, it will get worse.

It aint just the ones demonstrating....at least 30% of the people out there are just too damned apathetic to care and to do simple things like planning meals for a week or two.

My wife can't figure out if she wants coffee or tea when she wakes up and you expect her to know what to cook for a whole week out?

It's no different for me, pretty much every meal I eat the IRS can request a receipt for it. That and there are literally hundreds of companies that can tell you what you like to eat, when you like to eat, what days you like to eat, whether you prefer to eat before or after you masterbate, what kind of porn you like to watch, how much money you make, how much you spend, how much you save, your credit score, credit history, who your relatives and friends are and everywhere you've been the last 5 years and you probably have at least 3 devices in your house that you paid for to support this practice. I mean, I appreciate that people are suddenly worried about privacy but find it quite odd that writing your name on a piece of paper during a pandemic is where so many are drawing the line.
