I’m sure the numbers overall are higher. My cousin and aunt have symptoms which fit perfectly with this. They have both been told that as long as they are not experiencing breathing troubles, the best thing to do is stay home and rest as much as possible while quarantining yourself. So, no they haven’t been tested, but their doctor is assuming a positive since they work in a facility which as of yesterday has 24 positive cases.

The governor of WA tonite issued an immediate stay-at-home order, which includes ordering non-essential businesses to shut down for a period of not less than two weeks.
The problem is that "non essential" still allows a lot of businesses to remain open.

That makes sense. FWIW, the idea mild cases staying home in large numbers, that's pure speculation on my part. It just seems to me the numbers of mild cases going to hospitals should be fairly low based on authorities in pressers telling people repeatedly to stay home and not get tested if they have mild symptoms, and to call ahead if they think it's serious.

That's speculation coming from me personally.
Sadly, we won't know for another week to see if this worked...

Again, stalked by a turtle.

Went to see my PCP this morning(non-covid related), who is also a personal friend, and we talked about the testing done in our area. He said they had done 10,000 tests in Pinellas County and we only have 40 cases at the moment, but he does expect it to increase, he said it's good news to see so few positive results from so many tests being done. His main concern for Florida were people feeling lock down measures in other states and coming here.
He mixed up a few numbers. We've done almost 14,000 tests in Florida. Pinellas county has done 626 tests, with 41 positive, 545 negative, and 40 pending.

I actually messed up what I typed, 10,000 tests and only 40 cases in pinellas county so far. Not 10,000 tests in pinellas county. Also that site isn't very accurate either, it shows no recoveries in the United States as of yet.

I was going to ask that. So, are there really no recoveries in the US yet?

And the site I listed is actually the Florida Department of Health's dashboard. They're using a similar set up to John Hopkins.

I'm hoping we go back to some normalcy after next week. The mortality rate is dropping every day.

Have joined the politics board. My question is what do I have to do, it still tells me I have insufficient privileges to post. I already verified my email?

A study related to Coronaviruses (Remember SARS? Man, those were the days) and temperature. At 4*C the test viruses lived for 28 days. The warmer it got, the faster they croaked. High temps and high humidity were the most destructive, the viruses only remained viable for a few hours at 40*C and 80% humidity.
Sounds like a cruise ship would be a nice, safe, place.

Andrus, or another Admin have to personally accept you in. Be patient.

I don't think that's likely. This is still quite early in this thing. NYC, alone, had an increase of 5,000 cases yesterday - about a 30% jump from the previous day (though the Sunday count might have been off).
