I turned this channel on back on Sunday night; it was awful. It looked like I was watching an old VCR tape from the 80's, and they had the most bizarre, random guy in a cheap suit taking calls from weirdo callers asking the strangest questions about the virus. I couldn't handle it for more than five minutes. Never again.

Yeah, I only ever watch it when there is a key vote or debate.

That's fine, but you do realize that most of the populace, in a situation like this, are going to look to their elected officials for some guidance on what they should do, right?

Unfortunately

May be no easter Peeps
=======================
The coronavirus pandemic has already forced the closure of thousands of restaurants and bars across the country. But the latest food business to be affected by the ongoing health crisis is the manufacturer of a beloved holiday candy.

Just Born, the candy company that makes Peeps (among other treats), announced Tuesday that it would temporarily be suspending production at its factories in Philadelphia and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, due to the “rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation.” The statement was released with less than three weeks to go until Easter, arguably the biggest day of the year for the sugar-coated marshmallows................

Well then, should have taken the over!

Thanks Dan.
I thought it would have been more considering it was over 13 years and millions of posts. As to the quality of the picture on the C-SPAN channels, I think that's done on purpose so the audience can't see the marionette strings.

Sad result of keep calling this the Chinese virus

Did Spain go through the same thing with the 1918 flu?
===============================
WASHINGTON — Yuanyuan Zhu was walking to her gym in San Francisco on March 9, thinking the workout could be her last for a while, when she noticed that a man was shouting at her. He was yelling an expletive about China. Then a bus passed, she recalled, and he screamed after it, “Run them over.”

She tried to keep her distance, but when the light changed, she was stuck waiting with him at the crosswalk. She could feel him staring at her. And then, suddenly, she felt it: his saliva hitting her face and her favorite sweater.

In shock, Ms. Zhu, who is 26 and moved to the United States from China five years ago, hurried the rest of the way to the gym. She found a corner where no one could see her, and she cried quietly.

“That person didn’t look strange or angry or anything, you know?” she said of her tormentor. “He just looked like a normal person.”

As the coronavirus upends American life, Chinese-Americans face a double threat. Not only are they grappling like everyone else with how to avoid the virus itself, they are also contending with growing racism in the form of verbal and physical attacks.

Other Asian-Americans — with families from Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines, Myanmar and other places — are facing threats, too, lumped together with Chinese-Americans by a bigotry that does not know the difference......................

People can be utterly stupid at times. My wife is Korean. She doesn't get a lot of weird looks, but she sees at least a few of those idiots every now and then when she goes to the store. Fortunately, it's somewhat rare here.

If someone ever spit on my wife, if I find out who it is, he's gonna wish he never ran into her.
