It was mid February I believe when my wife and I (spent lots of time in Bay Area with large conferences) had the weirdest cold. She had a hard dry cough which she never gets. Bit of a fever also. We both had weird smelling/taste sensations. Chest both hurt when walking. Nothing huge, but we both were talking about it. I was slightly behind her. I still wonder if that wasn’t it.
Same here. Late January I had a Fever 101-102, hard time getting the energy to text that I would be out sick. I could walk down the steps and lie on the couch. Didn’t eat squat for 2 days. Back to work on Thursday then relapsed again on Sunday. Got steroids and antibiotics for lower respiratory infection. Fever resolved and energy came back, but still had dry hacking cough which has been intermittent since. The fever and energy crash are what make me think it may have been COVID.

Does that make us immune?

This is something to watch - Amazon now has coronavirus infections at six of its warehouses.

A slight daily decrease. Let's hope this keeps up. (bottom right). Not our first, but two in a row would be wonderful, three in a row is better.

I’m thinking more lack of testing than anything. It’s been just a week since California locked the state down so we have another week before I believe anything. Washington, Oregon should be starting to fall along with CA this weekend I hope.

Love Amazon or hate it, this is what scares me. My daughter works there and let’s me in on a bit. Lots of leaders are looking at Amazon to be the backbone of products while other stores close or people shelter. There are plans to work around this, but Amazon is a key piece in keeping things moving in this country.

If they could get an antibody test to test people yeah it would be hugely important. Let’s say I could test and be immune. They talk about putting people back to work, if I show positive antibodies, send me back in to work.

We’re #1! We’re #1!!!! Oh wait.....

However, we do rank 3rd in world population, so the fact that we would be up there is pretty much just going to happen. I don’t and never have trusted the numbers out of China, although they did do a great job on lockdown. Now, wait for India to get rolling with its very large and very questionable health situation. Brazil also going to get interesting with its wide swaths of poverty and a president who is refusing to take any action.

Were you tested for the Flu? Might want to reach out to your state or county health department (or doctor), and ask if there is a way to test if you have the antibodies (if you had the virus). Your plasma might be helpful, if you did.

I want to stress this again. South Florida, at least, the major freeways, are very empty.

Again, even if it's just 25% of the population going to work, but practicing social distancing and better hygiene, it is effective. We are pretty much on Day 10 of some level of a quarantine here. Could argue Day 12, with no school.

Pretty dead here too..

My daughter is in that same boat. Few weeks ago she had a nasty bug that lasted a couple days and really knocked the mess out of her. Wish she could be tested but we can't even test the people that really need it much less the ones you only suspect.

May be no easter Peeps
=======================
The coronavirus pandemic has already forced the closure of thousands of restaurants and bars across the country. But the latest food business to be affected by the ongoing health crisis is the manufacturer of a beloved holiday candy.

Just Born, the candy company that makes Peeps (among other treats), announced Tuesday that it would temporarily be suspending production at its factories in Philadelphia and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, due to the “rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation.” The statement was released with less than three weeks to go until Easter, arguably the biggest day of the year for the sugar-coated marshmallows................

Easter candy was one of the first things we ordered when this started. Got all the Elmers candy in last week and the rest yesterday including the peeps

I don't think it's the same test. The nasal swab only works if you have the virus. It's worth asking about.

South Florida's news has a local map showing cases by city.

Davie has 18, Plantation has 10 (I live kinda between them). Davie might have slightly higher numbers than expected due to NSU, FAU, and Broward College all being there.

Hollywood has 76 (where I work!), and Fort Lauderdale has 62. Wilton Manors has 13. Boca Raton has 17. Miami has 181. Miami Beach 45.
