Cutting the cable, lets talk options and media setups (1 Viewer)

I planned on riding out PSVue until January but it has started glitching like crazy. Sony has obviously stopped supporting it. Youtube TV up next...
Still working well on the Gulf Coast....will ride the wave until the end I guess unless YouTube TV does something to change my mind.
I had Vue too. Loving YouTube Tv.
How long ago did you switch?

Switched about two months ago. Once I heard the news that Vue was folding.

Heads up, FireTv recast is on sale again today, half off, it's a solid OTA DVR,no fees and pretty seemless integration with fire products.

ive had it a few months.
It’s great.
Don’t skimp on your antenna.

I am having to rethink OTA as I moved out to a rural area and even with a good antenna and preamp it isn't very good. I am too lazy to go outside and high (OTA basic principal is outside is better, higher up is better). My workaround is Youtube TV - kinda pricey though. On a free trial right now. I plugged in NO as my local zip and have NO locals in NC. I hope this sticks and I can get the Saints games.

Edit to add that I went all Firesticks on all TV's + one Xbox. I had a menagerie of Apple TV's, Roku's and when they aged out I went all Firestick. Nothing makes me believe they are any better than the current crop of Roku's - just a personal choice at the time.

Firesticks are better if your looking to use the Apps like CyberFlix, Titanium Tv, Tea Tv, etc. Roku and Apple TVs are just as good if your only watching app store approved streaming services.

I tried YouTube TV for A bit but I guess they caught on to my address due to my IP address and I lost NOLA channels.

Hulu has a pretty good deal for new and returning (more than 12 months since last usage) users. $1.99 a month for 12 months for the ad-supported plan. Offer good until 11:59 pst on Monday. Since I've never used the service before, I'm thinking that I might take advantage of this one. For $2 a month, it seems like a steal.

Are you a spotify paid user? I think hulu ads comes bundled with it.

And I see Hulu + LIve is bumping to $55/month. Next will how to cut the streaming cord.

Just gave Disney $69 for the yearly. FYI - I am certain I checked the "don't auto bill" after the 7 day freebie was over but they hit my card anyway. Kids seem to enjoy it. I am good with it - for now. Less sure about Youtube TV. Pricey as heck.

The new Firestick remotes are the bomb for cord cutters.
I got a few yesterday.
They control your tv so no more need for two remotes.
They only thing left to add is a back button and lighted buttons.
Amazon, you rock!

Looks like Spotify very recently did away with the Spotify and Hulu package, except for Student accounts.

Having Hulu and ESPN included in Disney plus seems to be the last piece of the cable cutting project. I could not find it easily so someone that has it, how many of the ESPN channels do you get?
