Not a surprise. It was always going to be at least 2 seasons. Knee jerk reactions are for fans and unstable organizations.

Imagine calling the firing of a guy who has lost 38 of the 53 games he has coached a knee jerk reaction. Unstable organizations allow failure to become acceptable. 5th worst coach in NFL history after 4 seasons. Knee jerk reaction flew the coop after he solidified his reputation with another double digit loss season.

That's how I feel....but I guess we're wrong. Let em run it back, then after we're 2-4 going into week 7 we can sit back and say I told ya so...because while I am wrong a lot, boy do I love it when I'm right. Makes all those pride swallowing error admissions totally worth it

Wrong decision completely but it is what it is. Trying to look at this positively, either we stink again next season which results in a nice draft pick and a new HC or Carmichael goes and we manage to find a good QB which results in 10+ wins.

The defense was at least very good down the stretch. Can’t help but feel missing out on Ben Johnson will be a big mistake though, assuming he’s hired this cycle.

I knew he was coming back. Some of y'all stood on that hill too long.

I can see the Saints starting off poorly and Allen fired in the middle of next season. He will definitely have a short leach.
