Darren Rizzi’s presser: “I’m an accountability guy. We’ve been doing things the same way here for a long time. Change is needed.” (3 Viewers)

Rizzi is going to be a good interim coach

In retrospect, he probably should have been the choice if they were trying to just build on what Payton did.

I think he's going to be a good head coach one day, but I'm not sure it's going to be here since I think they are going to want to change as much as possible to get rid of the DA stink that had infected the team. But, if he can finish 6-2 or better he might have a shot. Especially if Loomis is still the GM making the call.

I don't see how we get 6-2 without Olave and Shaheed.

I'll be happy with 2-4 and a win over ATL.

SonOfNola, thank you for posting the video and subsequent quotes. I don’t normally watch press conferences but I was interested in what Coach Rizzi had to say. I believe him when he says that they’re going to work hard to dig themselves outta this hole. The injuries are what they are, and while it’s very likely that anything past game 17 is off the table for the Saints, I don’t think we’ll see more atrocious play over these next 8 games.

Half the battle is having fun and energy. Bring excitement. Fire the players up. Yell, scream but coach and the men will follow.

This is the first game in a long time I am looking forward to. LET'S GO!!!
Agree! Falcons don’t have a chance!

I will admit at one point I was not a fan. First year seeing how he was so animated for just being a special team coach when the offense or defense was in the field just seem annoying to me. His first year, special team wasn't all that great and I wasn't happy with him. But hearing him for the first time, I was intrigued and amazed at how knowledgeable and engaging he was. He was not just a hyperactive and animated person. Like me, alot of reporters really enjoy his take with things. His press conference is longer than most. No prediction from me and no one knows how everything will play out. But good choice for interim.
