Payton be a QB specialist but he's now the head coach....he's not going to be the guy coaching up Carr on a day to day basis. That's why you hire a QB coach, the HC doesn't have the time.

I agree. I don't see why Green chose St. Louis. It must have been the money. I think the Saunders connection is clearly overrated when you consider we have the better offensive line by far; thereby giving Green a better chance to stay healthy and succeed if he should have to step in.

Marc Brunell, you've got to be kidding me, he was behind Jason Campbell and Todd Collins!!! That's TODD COLLINS!!! I don't even know if he's been in a game since he had the labrum surgery.

And David Carr is a hideous joke. I could walk my dog and do my taxes during the time it takes him to decide where to lob the ball!!!

What happens if Drew gets hurt?!?! Are we going to go with David Carr or Marc Brunell and actually expect to do anything but suck?!?!

I was being serious. I don't think Payton likes his playing style though. But it would be better to have someone that we know can win at least some games in a Saint's uniform.

Green would have been a good fit for us. Carr? I can't see it. He's too slow a decision maker. I'd rather just stick with Martin for another year while we develop Palko or another young QB.
