We also don't have the Eagles talent on the OL, QB, DL, LB, CB, or Safety. Basically we need players at every position. Which is why we should take BPA regardless of if it is on D, on O, a playmaker, or a fat guy.

Yes we need players all across the roster. Forcing picks at DE and such is what has gotten us in this mess we have. You force a pick, then you miss out on another position, then fail at the position you take. Thats now 2 holes that go unfilled. No one should ever apologize for taking best player available. I do believe that we have talent on the OLine. That position has been heavily invested in and we need to make that work. No more of that nonsense of revolving door of Olinemen. Our guys have shown some stuff there. We need guys who are mismatches.

Defense does win championships, unfortunately our defense is
A) arse
B) washed
C) trash
D) all of the above

Our defense was actually pretty decent. That was the one thing I liked about the DA era. We were becoming defensive oriented. I do believe a discipline emphasized head coach enhances that sides strengths more than being a coordinator so I do believe while our offense will improve our defense when improved talent wise will probably not measure up to a similar to roster under a defense focused HC.

Yup, and if you get a dominating front 4 you can control ANY offense. What a weapon it must be to have what the Eagles have. They DID NOT BLITZ one time in the game. All of that dominance and pressure by the front 4.

So, you believe in BPA but not if we have already invested a lot into the position?


I don't think that's really BPA. And while we have invested a decent bit in the OL, it's not fixed. I don't think we should reach for an OT and I don't think we should take a Guard at #9 because there is essentially no possibility that a Guard is BPA at #9, but I also don't think our OL is good enough that you rule out an OT if he does happen to be BPA at #9.

Anwayway, I suspect that OL won't be BPA at #9. I suspect it's either going to be DL, CB, Safety, or RB. But we can hope that McMillan falls to #9.
