I don't know what to make of this anymore. We've blamed everyone you can think of and it may get better for a game or two and then it's right back to where we are now. But this is what I think, It all starts with Allen not holding his assistant coaches responsible for lack of a better term (their effort) for having their players prepared properly for each game. PC not able to call a competent offense. Then you have Marrone not having the O-Line coached up having them ready to run a Zone Blocking Scheme. Maybe Marrone should reevaluate the O-Line and see who is a better fit for this type of blocking scheme and not having Penning ready to be the starter that they have to replace him with Hurst, who is just as bad at LT and even worse at LG. And last but not least DA not calling the right defense at critical times during games. Then you have some players half arseing it on some plays. I would give Ronald Curry a shot at calling the plays this week, but we all know that's not going to happen. If we come out and have the same stagnant offensive play calling again this Thursday and end up with another loss, there had better be some changes made or this season will be lost for sure.

They didn't really "rally" they just beat the worst teams on the schedule and the one quality team they beat was missing their starting QB....also, I think they could have lost out and the Saints still would have retained DA.....

If this team continues to regress (it's early still, and miracles do happen), and they retain him after this season? Folks need to stop going to games or nothing will change....

shame on you all for wishing for Carmichael getting fired. He is the key ingredient for the saints getting a top five pick in the upcoming draft. Who doesn’t want that?

if he wasn’t, Pete would be reassigned. It doesn’t make sense to you and I especially with the weapons we have, but it is the truth.

Yup, while there is no way to know for sure.....I tend to agree with this, I also believe this was the case with Mora and Carl Smith.....

I do not buy this. Dennis Allen doesn't know offense. Allen thinks that Pete is capable of replicating the offensive production of Sean because he was his assistant. If Dennis Allen really had an offensive vision that complimented his defense, someone else would be in that role. I personally don't think Allen had a choice in the matter. Allen doesn't question Loomis.

Ain't buying above....at all......Good DC's know offense or they don't last long as DC's....so Loomis is why PC is still around? Are the Saints that dysfunctional that the HC can't hire/fire/replace their assistants.....there is plenty wrong with this team right now....but I'm not buying that......

Dumping Carmichael now will buy a lot of desperately needed goodwill with the fans because it would show they're at least trying. Even if the new OC stinks in the first game, I'd give him a pass just because of the short week and scramble.

Continuing to roll with Carmichael, if the Saints offense yet again fails against the Jags... well, the fans are going to make it VERY clear how they feel about things.

Agreed. Watch us score 40+ points Thursday, which will be just enough to keep everything status quo, destroying any hopes we have for salvaging this season... thats my worst fear. We all know PC isnt the man, but i dont want to wait until next season to see a change. Even if it gets worse, i can live with that.
