Dennis Allen: “If we’re not executing our jobs, then we need to find somebody else to execute those jobs. It don’t matter who you are.” (2 Viewers)

Unfortunately, I agree. There were some built in excuses last year that aren't there this year. I think what we see is what we will get.
He seems like an awesome person but that just won’t cut it. He’s had many many games to show who he is as a head coach…imo. This isn’t new for him.

DA is an excellent defensive coordinator. The defense made great adjustments at half, a sure sign of quality coaching.
The offense obviously made no such adjustments at halftime. PC got completely outcoached after halftime, especially at the end of the game. DA completely misjudged Pete Carmichael’s ability to run an offense, and he needs to correct this mistake NOW.

I mean I'm with you, I created a thread chomping at the bit 2 weeks ago. I'm cool if Curry struggles a bit out of the gate with a short week. But at least we would be doing the right thing. I don't care about immediate results. I don't think we're going anywhere with Allen regardless of who is leading this offense. It's probably in my own better interest if they keep Pete so both can go down together at the end of the season.

Dumping Carmichael now will buy a lot of desperately needed goodwill with the fans because it would show they're at least trying. Even if the new OC stinks in the first game, I'd give him a pass just because of the short week and scramble.

Continuing to roll with Carmichael, if the Saints offense yet again fails against the Jags... well, the fans are going to make it VERY clear how they feel about things.

Worst part is absolutely nothing in his past indicates that he has a clue that he knows how to approach this. He has no idea what he is doing as a head coach, has no idea what to do towards his offenses, all of which have been ineffective. I’m not sure past public statements how much buyin he has with his players. His team was poor last year, and if anything worse off this year. So if he starts going after players, which it seems he is in the process of doing, he has a very real chance to completely lose the team, some of who have been around a lot of years winning with Payton.
