The scary part about this, is Loomis may have used the "injury excuse" to give DA and the staff another shot in 2025!!! Loomis was adamant last year that "we have the right guys in the building". Let that sink in a bit.

It accomplished something...it got DA which was a cancer to the organization away from the organization. He lost the players, and there was no point in keeping him once that happened. In retrospect, the firing really accomplished nothing.
Rizzi had a strength of victory of .275 (combined opponent record of 14-37), I wouldn't say he did much that any HC (including Allen) couldn't have done. I agree with those who say the midseason firing didn't really do much, as per usual. The fans had nothing to do with it. This was a move for the players. He had completely lost the team. Benson had to go behind his back to contact the players then pull rank on Loomis to make it.
We won 3 games after he was fired, I'd say the team was significantly better off for it. Rizzi was just given an impossible challenge of trying to turn around a culture that had turned soft for 3 years.
.... just six months, at least, too late.Expected. Loomis is patient, he likely would have fired him, but not in middle of season ....
Pretty unprofessional to leave before addressing the players just because you did not want cameras on you. A professional addresses their subordinates/co-workers personally before leaving.Allen is a good guy, but he didn't belong as a head coach. Glazer looks bored listening to Dennis.
What else are we to do after three consecutive losing seasons? Let the mob have their fun, it's not like Mick is going to get fired.Yay! Everyone gets to vent their anger out at ML again, this time for something they already knew and vented out about already!
Pile on…there’s room for everyone!
As I used to say during his tenure, some guys are lieutenants and others are generals. You have to be a general to be a leader of men in football. DA was an excellent lieutenant and coordinated the defense during a period of resurgence for that unit (2017-21) versus what it was the previous period of time (2014-16). But he wasn't and isn't a general, personality-wise.Shout out to DA. He was a darn good defensive coordinator.
