Draft Jaxson Dart Ole Miss (4 Viewers)

Mid-rounder.

I really think this team and this fan base need a high round QB. First or second round.

It’s time.
Yeah he is a great college QB but so was Manziel. I think he is a better passer than Manziel but I see a lot of similarities. The ball hangs in the air too much to translate to the speed of the NFL, imo. Even his outside screens seem to not have enough zip on it. Maybe I’m wrong and he is a monster at finding mismatches and reading defenses, but definitely seems like a waste to use a high round pick.

In an ideal word there is a QB someone covets and we can leverage the likely top 3-5 pick for additional picks this and 2026. This team is a few years away from truly being top tier again. We need an influx of talent.. look what Texans did last 2 years vs what the colts and Panthers did....
The Texans took their 1st round QB right away, though. We may not get another chance to be in the top 8 after this year.

I really like Milroe, I think he’ll make the transition to the NFL. Most of my friends disagree with me. I like his arm strength and size.

Milroe has great arm strength and size, but he's wildly inaccurate and he hasn't really improved his accuracy since he has been the starter. Cam Ward has similar issues, but I think he's more accurate than Milroe, especially on the run, and you see some improvement from him. If Ward learns to play in structure better and more he should improve his accuracy. I just don't see that in Milroe.

I am a 1983 graduate of Ole Miss. I have seen many quarterbacks come and go there have been a handful of talented quarterbacks.

Everybody knows about Archie Manning, and Eli Manning.

Jackson Daught has broken many of the records that the former quarterbacks have had. He is obviously very talented.

I like this idea.

Just going to have to take a chance as it's dumb to reach on a QB this year that early. It makes no sense at all. With the state of this franchise and the lack of fiscal responsibility we're not going to be competitive for 3 years give or take. This is a long play and not a short patch. You have to play the long game here. 2-3 really good drafts. Saints fans need to come to terms with this

Broken records. Yeah but by running no huddle and throwing nearly every down. Not to mention their strength of schedule will probably keep them out of the playoffs even if they win out. You put Eli in this offense you think Dart could match his stats then?

I’m not saying Dart is awful. But don’t see him much of an upgrade, if any at all, over Rattler.

No. However I do think we should take a look at Tre Harris & Caden Prieskorn. Prieskorn especially will be a mid round gem, heavily underused this year.

He can be the Chase Daniels for Sheuder Sanders.

This happens many years. "There's not any really QBs. Everyone is a reach."

Then the season finishes, we have bowl games, we have the senior bowl, and top prospects come into view. The landscape will look different when we actually draft.

I'm old enough to remember when Josh Allen was a way-too-raw, small-school QB who relied solely on athleticism, according to way too many talking heads.

Please explain why? I getting really sick of people hating on this kid for no reason. He is on a winning football team, great deep ball, 73.3 completion percentage, and plays behind the worse OL in college football. I really don't get it; he is a first-round quarterback and would bring excitement to the team.
I think he probably only signs with a team that makes room for dad.

I could care less, i would draft him and if he wouldn't play that's his problem. Cause we are stuck with Carr next year anyways. Deion wouldn't want his son riding the bench getting bad mouthed and losing years on his playing career. The guy is that good.

Hmmmm, not a bad question. Even the best QB will be awful if the front line is awful. I can only speculate as to how Eli Manning would do.

What I do know is the talent that Jackson dark displayed at Ole Miss is just super. He is extremely accurate. Yes I am biased that being said I am trying to look at this from an outsiders point of view.

The only thing that would worry me would be his mental ability to play in the NFL. What happened to talented quarterback so far that came from Ole Miss and just lost it mentally in the NFL: Chad Kelly and Matt Carell.

I agree. I think off the field issues may be there. Maybe not as bad as Manziel
But equal to Kelly. But Eli had his issues too. He was able to not let them interfere with his desire to play football tho.
